“This was my first time at Modern Muse and it certainly won’t be my last. First of all, Kamaria was extremely kind and accommodating. I made a mistake and was running late for my appointment and she was flexible with me around her existing appointments.

When I arrived, the space was clean and beautiful and everything felt very sanitary - no clutter or disorganization.

I got three services: 30 minute express whitening, a medium sized tooth gem, and eyebrow shaping. I’ve never had my teeth h whitened nor have I ever gotten a tooth gem and Kamaria was extremely thorough. She explained each step of the process and made sure I was comfortable throughout. My only recommendation would be to ask questions before booking so that you can book the right thing for what you’re looking for. For me, I probably should have booked an hour for the whitening service but I booked first and asked questions later. Even with that she accommodated me, lightened my teeth by several shades and recommended that I return in four weeks (which I will). She also provided honest and professional advice on which size tooth gem I should get to match my style and preferences without being too over the top.

Once my teeth were done she moved on to brows. I’ve had a hard time finding someone to shape my brows the way I like for at least a decade. I didn’t have any photos, but I provided her with a verbal descriptions and she NAILED IT.

I am so pleased with this business and I will definitely be a repeat customer. She’s organized, on-time, and conveniently located right off the beltway. Five stars from start to finish!“

“I was having trouble finding a new barber/stylist in the area, so I gave Backstage Salon a shot and let me tell you, it was a really great experience! I called before arriving to see if a walk-in would be available, and I ended up speaking with Erica and she said she could take me if I got to the Salon soon. I walked in, Erica was ready for me, and she was absolutely wonderful which is an understatement.

As a preface, I am awful at figuring out what to do with my hair. I've had my fair share of difficulties describing what I want which have led to shoddy haircuts. Erica was incredibly helpful in getting me the cut and style I was hoping for. She was a joy to talk with while she did the cut, she is a truly kind individual and has the styling skills to back that up, too.

She is literally sunshine in a bottle. The minute I walk in she has the warmest welcome and when I leave I feel red carpet ready! She is magic. Obsessed with her style. She always has her hand on the pulse of what’s hot, which I appreciate and she has a knack for figuring out what I want even when I can’t explain it or are unsure…. Her expertise with coloring is amazing. I’ve seen her transform so many different colors in the most beautiful ways. Her “blonde” coloring is top shelf, which is sooo tricky to do!

“Since moving to Pleasanton almost 4 years ago I continued to go to my nail lady in Milpitas! Now that I don't have time to go there regularly I've recently tried Lavender Oasis Nail Salon 3 times now. The last two times I had Hazel do my manicure and Jenny did my pedicure. Jenny was amazing with the pedicure, did a really great job! Extremely happy! Hazel also did a great job both times with my manicure. Yesterday I decided to try a new shape for the first time. I typically do square round but Hazel showed me how an oval nail would look on my pinky and I decided to go for it. She helped me pick a beautiful pink shade and was very meticulous but also fast which I appreciate. I will definitely keep coming back to Hazel. Here are pictures of my nails from yesterday!“
