I want to give a big shout out to SuperChris @DelReyOptometry in Playa Del Rey, my beloved beach town! Dr. Pennino is amazing, charming, beautiful, excellent and fun! In particular the guy I’ve recently renamed SuperChris is outstanding! He was being referred to as Chris2 and that just couldn’t stand in my eyes so now he’s SuperChris! He takes great pride in his precision and excellence. He enjoys his work, goes all in and takes delight in pleasing you! He goes beyond the call of duty for little specialized tasks that others might dismiss or refuse but could really be a huge help in the moment. I was new in town a couple of years ago so I Yelped for an optometrist. The one I went to (Friedman’s) was expensive, small and jammed into a tiny store, had no available parking and took FOUR MONTHS to make my glasses. The optometrist was old and grumpy. When it was time for a re-examination, I had to try somewhere else, and apparently the Angel of Optometry took pity on me, I ended up at Del Rey Optometry. My experience was wonderfully different from the other place! Parking and access are a breeze. Super friendly & efficient staff - who always welcome me back. They have the most advanced technology - & I've been going every year for the past 10 - so they can immediately project how & where my eyesight needs attention from their meticulous records. They work in conjunction with the Marina Del Rey office - so I am amazingly well covered! Thanks to all!
