Can’t say enough good things about this salon. I had to get SNS dip removed so I knew it was going to be a long appointment, but I can’t speak enough to how comfortable the experience was. I went for something totally different with a ballerina shape and I love it. I’ve gotten tons of compliments. The detail on the cuticles and nail maintenance far exceeds any salons I’ve been to. I will be back.

Great little, female-owned studio that does Pilates right, ie they focuses on form and precision of movement to build strength and flexibility.
I had a childhood accident that altered my gait and threw off my balance. In my 30s, my body rebelled and by my 50s, I had cervical spinal stenosis and bulging discs in my lower spine. Over the years I tried everything - acupuncture, massage, chiropractic, CBD oil, painkillers, shots, stretches, neck pillows, supplements, IcyHots, massagers, prescription muscle relaxants, and more. I thought I had run out of options and then I met Raj. His approach is unique - instead of painful massaging of problem areas, he has discovered a technique of applying direct, focused pressure solely to the trigger points, with virtually no pain. And his approach is holistic - he wants to know exactly what actions cause what type of pain and then teaches you how to focus on muscle tightness BEFORE it becomes pain. And the more you work together, the faster he will teach you how to treat yourself at home using just two tennis balls. So instead of the constant cycles of regular visits to chiropractors or massage therapists, eventually you graduate and can care for yourself. Now my biggest fear for my body is that Raj will retire someday!

Been going to get a cut from Steven at the Neighborhood Barber Shop for about a year now. So glad I found this gem of a shop, I can say with confidence that it's the best cut I've ever received (and such a cool, breezy vibe to the space). What sets Steven apart is you can tell he really cares and never settles for anything short of the freshest-cut possible. Highly, highly recommend you stop on by. And maybe it's just a coincidence, but right after I got my first cut from Steven, I ended up scoring a date with someone who was well outside my league (*wink*). Could be you next!

Monty's is located in an unassuming location at the corner of Pershing and Manchester Ave in Playa Del Rey. There isn't a sign up front, and so you'll note it to be next to Cafe Boheme and a cross-fit gym. It's a low key, clean place that has been in the neighborhood for many years, apparently. What I like about Monty's is that, despite their tiny parking lot, you have decent prices in comparison to the rest of the neighborhood. It is $5 a shirt, and you'll get it back in decent shape, and they'll put red tape on collars that need work. For the most part, the lady that runs the place is relaxed and you may even need to call a number when coming in to get an attendant to come over from the nearby laundromat. I do think they could use more business as the pandemic has been tough on dry cleaning establishments, and they have reduced hours between 10am to 4pm. If you can't find parking, just park in the adjacent parking lot and walk your stuff over, as there is a pathway between the two lots to walk over. I hope you get to enjoy their handiwork, and know that none of your clothes will ever go missing.
Amy is hands down the best! She delivered both of my babies, and both times, I felt fully taken care of inside and out. She is thoughtful, considerate, and goes beyond any typical care you'd get from a hospital. We are lucky to now get family care from her as well. We love you, Amy!
My family loves Del Rey Dental! We recently took my 11 year old daughter in to have some teeth extracted and Dr. Homyak and staff made her feel so comfortable, she was laughing and actually enjoyed the experience! Everyone on staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and has turned my dental fearing husband and kids into actual fans who look forward to their appointments. They also have early morning appointments and scheduling before school if you need is really easy. This is a wonderful office and highly recommend to anyone.

I love Seaside Salon!!! Johnny has been doing my hair for 25 years now and it’s like visiting family when I go to Seaside. David is a sweetheart too and always willing to help. Wouldn’t think of going anywhere else!
I'll definitely be going back, really glad to have these folks so close. Clean, reasonably priced, great customer service and a really nice, young family who took over from Diane. I had a dip mani and gel pedi. It was a good experience. The dip started to lift the next day, though. Tyler got me right in and gave me an excellent redo. I'll be bringing my husband in for his manly-pedis, too.
I've been getting pedicures here for 17 years...and they've always been accommodating. The service & quality are consistent. The prices are good and staff is always nice. Now called Fami Nails with a younger couple running it. Diane was nice, but she retired.
