i was so happy to shop at a store that showcases local artistic talent and craftsmanship. i was able to share with the shopkeep and another kind local person in the shop, the intimate story that brought me to ojai. in that moment, amongst all the delicate pieces and those two kind souls, it felt like my story became more alive - rather than my beliefs about the story. perhaps great people, fine art, in a great place creates that possibility. thank you.
I wanted to jump on here to share what an incredible practitioner K is. As someone who has dealt with chronic illness throughout my life, I have seen and experienced many body workers.
K is something else. Otherworldly and yet grounded to the earth all at once. They listen intently, not just to your words, but to the subtle, often unheard parts of your body.
With expert knowledge and precision, they help your body come back to itself. With gentleness and presence. Every session with them leaves me feeling stronger, more aligned and more able to show up in my life.
They have helped alleviate chronic pain, and I feel so grateful to have the opportunity to experience their care.

I stopped in to drop off my husbands suit and was greeted kindly by the owner. I told her it was my first time and she was excited to welcome me and give me a first time discount. I was very pleased with the experience and service and the suit came out great! I told her no rush and it was done in 5 days though I'm sure she could have done it whenever I asked if I'd been in a rush. It can be hard to find parking to drop off your items here, but I got lucky with a parking spot. They have some nice decor and it looks super clean inside.
Dr. Thompson is the first Dr. that communicated to me that his goal is to not see me. That means he wants me well and will do whatever necessary to get there. He lived up to that statement and we are on every other month maintenance. I would recommend him over my own primary Dr. ANY DAY. He approaches care holistically looking at your whole person, not just a symptom. He is very knowledgeable about body systems and healthcare.
One of the absolute best chiropractors I have ever had. I wish I lived here year round to see D! When I drove down from Vegas she adjusted me and boy did I need it. I highly recommend her for your chiropractic needs!
Usually exotic animal people (including horse owners) dont do well with people. I get treated well here and nobody treats me harshly if I do something a little wrong with my horse and they treat her (Holly) well.
Dr Brian is very easy to communicate with, down to earth, I would recommend him.
You can't beat the scenery and peaceful vibes Melissa and her horses, Levi and Oliver, have to offer. This has become my therapy to come groom the horses and learn how to interact with them. Melissa has such a graceful way of teaching. She has so much more to offer than just horsemanship. I strongly recommend Western Trail Rides and all it has to offer!

Alexia has trimmed my hair twice; i am growing it out as it has been shorter than shoulder length. Both times she listened to what I wanted and I was very happy with the results :) she also creates a very comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Very cute little space at Little Koyote

Nicole Cerrato has been doing my hair for more then a decade, from cut, color, style, and glazing. I think my next big event will include extensions, she is amazing at extensions as well! She is not only a pro, but a very sweet, kind, and a caring human. She will listen to your wants, and work her magic on your hair to make it happen. Worth every penny, at 65 years young with long graying hair, I appreciate anything anyone can do to help me look my best. I could go on and on and on, but she is definitely 100 stars, not 5, in my book!
I can honestly say that I just had the best hair experience ever with Jen at Boheme! She went above and beyond in making sure that I was absolutely thrilled with my hair, and was so kind and informative the entire time. Jen has such a vibrant personality and you can just tell by the atmosphere of Boheme that she really values her customers and the importance of spreading good vibes. Best fade in Ojai!! I was in Ojai on vacation and needed a haircut before I left. It's a cool spot. If you like the old school barber shop this is the place to go. He took his time and it definitely showed. I will definitely be stopping back by when I'm out there again.
The owner of the salon, Susan Chek, is one of the most knowledgeable, gifted, and intuitive stylist I've ever had. She helped me fall in love with hair again! Most importantly she has taught me not to be afraid of it. I was stuck in a style. It was safe and lifeless, but I believed that was the only look that would work with my hair type. Now I'm more adventurous and comfortable trying new things. It's the cut!! The compliments are a bonus. Everyone I've referred to her are equally awed. Book with her. Don't hesitate.
I was very satisfied with both the cut and the price. The salon is not fancy, but the price was 1/3 of that of my previous stylist. I was very pleased and will definitely go back.

Being relatively new to Ojai, and 200 miles from the beautician who has been cutting my hair for the last 15 years, I took my time in choosing where to have my hair cut. Pictures and reading reviews can be helpful, but you never know. Well, I hadn't had a haircut in 2 months; I was past due! I called Hair-Em. My call was answered by Deanna and I made an appointment. Deanna took time to listen and understand how I wanted my hair cut. I wasn't sure how short I wanted my hair so she progressed a bit at a time, checking with me to see what I thought. I was so pleased with her results, I posted my before and after pictures. I felt really good about my decision to have her cut my hair and won't be waiting 2 months to have my next haircut.

I can't say enough about my experience. Dalton is a gentle person with strong hands. I feel comfortable and heard with the areas that need attention. If I could I would book services every week! I have been dealing with extreme shoulder pain. I do physical therapy acupuncture and everything in between to help, and they do help but I notice a real release in the knot's and tention and pain from that surrounding area after a session. This is well worth the money, and is a necessity for me in my life!
I am new to the area and was looking for a place to get my lashes and brows tinted. I decided to try New Leaf and I am so happy I did. This is by far the best brow/lash tint I have ever had done. They look natural and the color is perfect. The atmosphere is so relaxing, next time I am going to try a facial too. I highly recommend going here.
My husband and I got 60 min deep tissue massages and they were WONDERFUL. We had different masseuses and both were incredibly talented. Cannot recommend enough.
The space is an ADU in a peaceful garden. It was quiet and felt private. I know she offers outdoor massage as well, if that interests you.

I spent the afternoon at a personal mini spa day ... ZeroBody Dry Float Therapy; Signature Massage; and Zen Fox Scalp Ritual. Ultimate in relaxation. The staff are warm and welcoming and the technitions are professional. I always enjoy a massage from Patricia and Tessa explained the Head Spa trreatment so I was comfortable trying this experience. I will be back!

Really nice location, great price and wonderful massage. Both my husband and I loved it and would definitely go back. Bring cash if you can, there was some issues with the terminal, no biggie, just easier to have.
Scott Loomis was brought on as a sub to our prime and did our framing and siding for our 620sqft master addition. His team was extremely professional and were total experts. I would recommend them to friends and family.
Our whole family had an awesome experience working with Herman and his crew. We did a huge project where we added on an apartment (ADU) to our existing house and also did an almost complete remodel of our first floor. It was a big undertaking and everything went smoothly from start to finish. I tend to be particular and had trouble making decisions regarding style and such. Herman, his crew and subs all helped in various ways and eased my mind so many times! Their work is skilled, efficient and top notch. Would highly recommend!

Donald was great to work with. We needed gutters for our house. I got a handful of bids and Ojai Rain Gutters was very reasonable. They have a variety of colors to choose from. We set a date and there ware no complications. The gutters look great and I trust we will be well covered when the rain comes. I would highly recommend this company!
Everready came to do pest control on a mice and rat infestation. They sealed all cracks around the house and inside the house. They set up bait boxes (did not require to purchase but a rather more inexpensive option to "rent" the bait boxes in which they simply refill them during monthly treatment. Other pest control companies were requiring for us to buy these expensive bait boxes to keep them (which adds another burden on the budget). Another great thing was they did not put any pressure on us at all they told us when the rodents are gone we could stop the monthly service anytime. They were very responsive as well and reply within a day. Our mice were completely gone and the house was very quiet. We still hire them for future maintenance as their prices are very good. We are grateful for their help and professionalism. Cassidy was our pest tech and she was so friendly. Amy was also in communication with me to set up treatment and she was great as well. I would definitely recommend them.
The employees of OTPC are always courteous and arrive on time. Today Jason came to rid me of ants. He was polite and knowledgeable and arrived at the designated time. I highly recommend OTPC.
Eric and his construction team really came through for my family last week, in a last minute emergency. My mother in law had broken her leg and needed a ramp to access her home. Eric was right there on the spot and had the ramp finished the very next day. She came right out of surgery and was able to go into her home thanks to Eric.

One time when I was having a crown done Dr. Komura was not happy with the exact color as it was slightly off. She sent the crown back and had it remade as she wanted it to be perfect for me.This office will surely put a smile on your face.
