Spartacus plays with sighted dogs and does very well, though when he starts getting 'upset' staff is there to redirect, and help him through his ordeal. Our other dog, Hercules has gone to LDI since he was 4.5 months old. He is now 2 yrs old! “I am extremely happy with the training at Matan and have recommended Matan Dog Training to many people. I currently attend the group classes with Amelia ongoing. She is a fantastic and experienced trainer and each class is different, challenging the dogs and owners with different exercises and scenarios. I was also able to work with owner Matan in a few classes. It is clear that he not only loves dogs but he has extensive knowledge regarding their behavior and their training.

I have a working line German Shepherd who was a MAJOR handful. She used to bark and growl at all dogs and walking her was a huge chore. She was extremely reactive. She will always be a reactive natured dog who does not like to be around other dogs, but by attending the group classes she has learned that it is ok to be around dogs, and that she needs to be obedient and appropriate even when she is feeling uncomfortable. This training keeps her on track so that now she can be walked on the street with no or minimal reaction to other dogs. Most of the time she just looks at them now and checks back in with me. It’s really great. Such an improvement.

Additionally, being of working lineage, she always wants something to do. She actually loves the training and can’t wait to go to class. She happily jumps into the car when I say “ do you want to go to work?”. Her heeling, sit stay, down stay and come are all very good from the ongoing work we have done at Matan.

The classes are fantastic and it’s great working with Amelia. I would highly recommend getting your dog assessed and joining us in the groups!“

“So yes, i do miss Golden spoon with their train themes and actual plastic golden spoons. But the woman informed me its the same exact yogurt & they pile it high all the same! Definitely hard to find considering google maps didn't know their name has changed but I will be back for more! their flavors taste so good. Peanut butter and pistachio are a must!“

“Xaviera was extremely helpful with our 4 month old puppy. She came to our house and showed us what to do about every problem we were having. She is very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. We went from discouraged to encouraged. I learned a lot of techniques and tricks from Xaviera that I didn’t know before. I took her dog training course through Simi Valley Recreation and Parks and it was excellent as well. She stays after class to answer questions. She is easy to understand and follow. I think she would be helpful to anyone whether beginner or advanced. It is obvious she has been doing this for a long time. I highly recommend.“
