I can’t recommend La Mesa Rehab enough! Working with the respiratory team after a diagnosis of asthma and COPD with increasing shortness of breath, I was able to improve my breathing function and get back to hiking and all the activities I love to do. The entire team was a treat to work with, but the respiratory therapist Stephen was particularly helpful (and patient) in helping me understand how my respiratory issues impact breathing, as well as training me in techniques to improve and manage the disease going forward. Anyone suffering from asthma or COPD where the disease is compromising their lifestyle should definitely take advantage of this extraordinary facility.

As an RN with 40years+ experience, I'm usually uncomfortable being a patient. That is putting it mildly.The staff at La Mesa Rehab (LMR), put me at ease right away. They all were knowledgeable, compassionate &personable; a mix of traits that ensures a positive patient experience.When I 1st got there, I was very discouraged about my health. I'd started having pulmonary issues, something new to me. I couldn't walk more than a few steps without stopping. I became more & more positive as I continued working with the staff. I have been to La Mesa Rehab twice in the last year and a half. It has to do with Physical Therapy and each time I go for treatment, I find myself becoming a part of the team because the therapist are so organized and they know which exercises will benefit methe most. The team looks to see if I fully understand what I need to do before each exercise and whether I can repeat the correct way when I return for my next session.Everyone is kind and I can't help but feel more confident of myself and what I have achieved.
