“I’m an LA transplant from the South who’s been hunting for a salon that’ll give me a comfortable no muss no fuss Black Experience in the city for awhile now. Rehab Salon has given me a place to call home. Their prices are very affordable, their scheduling doesn’t make you jump through hoops or have any crazy rules, and they have great work ethic. There are many good Black salons here but this Salon is my holy grail for rejuvenating my soul and confidence.

My first experience I was unsure how to perceive them. The front door is an ethereal gate. Once you step in it feels like you’re being transported to a mystical back room with fabrics, trinkets and oils welcoming you in this secret hideaway. It smells good and it sounds good. No weirdo solicitors, no street sounds, just good music, smells of incense, and a skylight to shine the sun on you. It’s truly a vibe.

For 2024 I’ve been on my healthy hair journey with Shun. I’m a short natural 4B/4C fine hair. I don’t know how to take care of it. It’s bad. Shun cut my split ends and shaped my hair with ease and didn’t get scissor happy in the slightest. Afterwards she silk pressed my hair and was sure to use a good heat protector and gave me advice for at home. It held for several weeks and when I washed out the press I was happy to see no heat damage at all and my curls reverted back to its natural curl pattern. Thank you, Shun!!

Meanwhile, everyone including clients is having a good time casually chatting up on Black pop culture. My hair feels healthier and it feels like I have many options in the future with their other stylist concerning color, extensions, braids or locs. They were doing men’s hair too! Line ups and retwists.

“I came in recently because I was looking to get a more styleized haircut for my wedding than I get at my normal barbershop. Corinne was recommended by a friend so I set up an appointment about a month and half before the wedding as a trial run to see if I liked it. When I arrived to my appointment, I couldn't have had a better experience. I described all the issues I had with my normal haircuts to Corinne and how it was hard for me to get a good haircut that fit my face and was balanced because it seemed like my normal barber mostly only cared about the fade portion. Corinne was so helpful and knew exactly what I needed and gave me a haircut that was better than I imagined it could be. When I got home I showed my (now wife) and she said I HAD to go back to Corinne and get the same haircut before the wedding and couldn't have agreed more. Needless to say, the wedding day cut was perfect and I'm really thankful that Corinne was able to nail such a important wedding day grooming detail for me!“

The pricing is decent and the quality of what you get is top tier! The service is above average and I highly recommend this place. The art tech, is very good at her job and the place is well-maintained. I also want to add that my manicure was a Russian and it lasted for around 5 weeks!
