“During an annual eye exam, my ophthalmologist noticed a possible retinal tear in my left eye. I was advised to get an appointment with a retinal specialist. The specialist did find a tear and was unable to treat it with laser treatments. He performed a vitrectomy and placed a silicone oil bubble over the Retina to keep it in place. After three weeks, my eye is doing well, and I am on the road to recovery. Had the spectrum opthalmogist not discovered the retinal tear when she did, the outcome would not have come out as well as it did. I had no symptoms at all of a retinal tear and would not have known, except for the eye exam.
Moral of story: Get a yearly eye exam, and do so at Spectrum Eye Physicians.“
