“Truly the best TKD gym I've ever been to. Master Chung is amazing with teaching not only martial arts, but also discipline, respect of parents, and taking personal responsibility. My son's behavior and maturity has improved exponentially. I even started taking Taekwondo here, myself. I hadn't studied martial arts in about 9 years. But I've regained so much of my physical, mental, and spiritual strength working with Master Chung. My love for martial arts has been reignited! Gym is clean, easy parking, simple & organized process for sign up, payment, and belt tests.“
11AM - 2PM
4403 Torrance Blvd, Torrance“During the pandemic, I was looking for a fun activity that would be good for my health. I was drawn to Pamana Kali because they had online classes and they take a well-rounded approach that includes practical application, art, and culture.
Guro Alvin, the founder, is a patient teacher that emphasizes practical application. He focuses on fine tuning simple techniques that work in live scenarios. He also structures his lesson plan in a way that facilitates neuroplasticity by constantly introducing new motor patterns during the exercises. This makes class a challenge after a long work day, but it's good for the ol' noggin!
Kuya Eli is the instructor at the Long Beach location housed within Kubo LB on Atlantic Ave. The classes are small, which leads to lots of helpful individual attention. We mix it up and practice kali, silat, illustrisimo, and more. Kuya Eli is on the younger side and teaches with enthusiasm and humor, making the learning environment playful as well as challenging.
If you're lookin for a fun and safe environment to learn the art of stick fighting, check out Pamana Kali!“
11AM - 1PM
1824 W 182nd St, Torrance“Karate at Kaizen Dojo is lifestyle driven; it isn't just about learning karate moves. Sensei Ford prioritizes mindfulness, building students up from within, mind and body health, self-confidence, happiness, awareness, and resilience.
Both of my children have taken karate lessons at different places. Kaizen stands out, to me, as more traditional. The art of karate is present here; the reveredness of the kata. It reminds me of Daniel San and Mr. Miyagi practicing choreographed karate movements: on the stump on the beach, or in Okinawa, with the scored music behind it. I love watching the kids practice their katas.
Sensei Ford is kind and brings play to each class to keep the kids engaged. They work hard, and, yet, it doesn't occur as such. It's impressive how much my daughter knows, and how much she loves to practice and demonstrate her moves at home.
I'm truly grateful to have Kaizen Dojo and Sensei Ford in our lives. Both have made a lasting and positive impact on myself and my family.“

2040 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Los Angeles“I went to Taekwondo International for 7 Years. At the time I was on my way to test for my third degree black belt. Unfortunately because of high school I was unable to continue my training. Now as an adult I have nothing but fond memories of the space and recommend Master Rolando Cordoba to any adult / child / teen looking for moral encouragement and discipline / guidance. Although strict in the class room, I at time would be the last student to leave the dojo because my elders would get out of work late. Master would until my parents arrived to pick me up to close the dojo. Thank you for everything Master Rolando Cordoba Sir.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Summer Camp Game-Changer! Systems Training Center Summer Camp has been an absolute dream for my daughter — and a total lifesaver for me as a parent! From the moment we signed up, I had a good feeling, but this experience has blown every expectation out of the water. First of all, no screens — can we just take a moment to celebrate that? In a world full of tablets and phones, this camp brings kids back to what childhood should feel like: movement, connection, and FUN. My daughter comes home every day exhausted, happy, and beaming, full of stories about the activities, the friends she’s made, and how much she can’t wait to go back. She’s learning discipline, gaining confidence, and getting stronger — mentally and physically. As a parent, I truly couldn’t ask for more. I only wish I had found this place sooner. This camp is seriously a hidden gem, and I hope more families discover it. Sending my daughter here was hands down the best decision of the summer!“
