The front desk staff might not speak English very fluently (it is probably not their first language), but this doesn’t change the fact that Dr. Cheung does an amazing job. “I would highly recommend Fremont Vision Optix Optometry. On Wednesday evening at 5:45 pm, my 5th grader was complaining about eye discomfort and sensitivity to light. I was concerned it could be an eye infection since she had recently started wearing contact lenses.

Despite it being close to closing time, I called Fremont Vision Optix at 6:10 pm. Even though they closed at 7 pm, the receptionist kindly accommodated us for a last-minute walk-in visit. They clearly explained the reasonable fees upfront.

We arrived at 6:41 pm, just 19 minutes before closing. Despite the late hour, the doctor was incredibly patient. He first asked me about the issue, then directly engaged with my daughter to understand her perspective. This made her feel respected throughout the process.

The good news was that it was just some minor corneal scratches from dry eyes, which the doctor assured us would likely heal by the next morning. He provided us with free eye drops to help the healing process and gave detailed guidance on next steps if the symptoms persisted.

I left the appointment feeling assured and without any lingering worries. I highly recommend this practice for their responsiveness, professionalism, and excellent patient care, even during the final minutes before closing.“
