“I came here after an absolutely awful experience at Southern California Animal Hospital, and they graciously accepted me and my cat last minute for much needed xrays. I live over an hour away from SCAH and Adam's, and I very much appreciated them seeing me, especially when it was close to their lunchtime and my cat's meds had worn off, so she was SPICY. The front desk, techs, and doctor were all so friendly and helpful, and even apologetic about my experience with the first place. I am so grateful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.“

“Dr. John Gil is a superstar of superstars amongst veterinarians. His gentle demeanor with animals shines through at every visit. He's no nonsense and very reasonable with care recommendations. He's experienced and compassionate. This is the only local veterinarian I recommend, and this veterinary clinic and its staff are very much appreciated.

“I came in with no patient history for my cat needing emergency care. They ultimately couldn’t help me, but that’s not their fault—they just weren’t equipped for what I needed.
They still dropped everything and took my kitty back immediately to do what they could, they still showed concern and compassion, and they helped set me up to go over to an animal hospital equipped to do the services I needed. Their compassion and urgency made me feel like I was in good hands even in a moment that felt out of control for me. After I left, they called to give me updates about some paperwork, and asked *me* to update *them* about how everything works out for us.

Their annual check-up was fast, thorough, stress-free, and pleasant thanks to the front office staff, the nurse, and the vet! “Brought my boy in he needed a same day appointment they were fast, friendly, took my budget into consideration and made a plan to do what we could at the cheapest cost. They didn't judge me for that decision like some vets do. And didn't push any further that I needed to spend more. I'm really happy with my outcome, although expensive, what vet isn't right? Also the place itself is lovely, it's clean, nicely decorated, chairs in our room so we were comfortable the whole time. I'd recommend this place if you need an urgent appointment.“

They’ve taken me in as a walk in when I didn’t have an appointment. Only thing I would change, I’d appreciate if they would email me a reminder of when her shots are due. We heard great things about Amar Glen and gave them a shot. Glad we did! The entire staff truly cares for pets. They act quickly, gently and efficiently to provide care and assessment. Our lil guy got updated vaccines, bloodwork, an EKG and a really great full physical in record time. He wasn't panting or freaking out. He was incredibly cooperative. “I brought a friends dog in while they were out of town. The hospital is very clean and the staff is knowledgeable and polite. The veterinarian was kind and straight forward. The dog was a bit scared and the staff took great care of her.
The reason I gave four stars out of five, is that the interior is lacking some of the more modern amenities and features that animal hospitals I've visited else where have and offer.“

“y wife and I have taken our dogs here since the early 1980s. Dr. Peterson has always taken great care of our 7 dogs through the years. Very caring and professional. The ONLY time I took one of our dogs to another vet (a VCA), she was misdiagnosed. Our Wolf/Malamute was right at 16 yrs (had him since 5 weeks) and needed our extra attention in his last days. Our Ausie who was 14.5 yrs had a growth the VCA vet said was benign. It turned out to be cancer and of course Dr. Peterson caught it. It's September 2024 and we live far away now, but still go to Dr. Peterson at Las Tunas Dee and Dr Peterson are great. Las Tunas Animal Hospital can be trusted with our precious animals!“
