Not only is she warm, friendly, and always fun to talk to, but she's also constantly active in the online electrologist community, sharing and researching the best techniques. I haven't shaved in months and feel ecstatic about how far we've come so far. She's also a great trans ally. We talk about trans stuff regularly and it feels as natural as talking about anything else. “Lori is a local gem! I have very sensitive skin, and she transformed my skin, bringing out a glow that I have been able to maintain for 3 years now -- something I didn't know was possible. I had never had a facial before I first saw her in December 2019 and was really nervous that it would either inflame my skin or make me break out. Lori was so gentle from the moment I arrived, putting me at ease, taking time to get to know me, my routine and the products I use and why. She soothed my irritated skin during the facial, but also my mind and body too with the heated bed, super quiet studio with soft lighting, and her calming approach. I left with samples to test what products might work best for me after Lori spent time sharing information about common irritants found in face products. We even talked about the connection between nutrition, hydration, and skin redness, which gave me the info I need to adapt practices that work for me and that have helped to improve my skin consistently. Finally, Lori's wisdom spans far beyond skincare and holistic mind-body care. She is a delight to talk to, I always learn so much from our conversations...and it's super cool that her studio sits on the same land where Mary Ellen Pleasant, the "Mother of Civil Rights of California," lived. Lori is one of the local gems carrying on the legacy of women, like MEP who have made San Francisco such a wonderful place. “I have been getting monthly facials here for a year now and realized I had never written a review about how much I love Vivian's Skin Care. I look forward to my facial all month! I had never gotten a facial before coming here and really appreciated how easy it was to book an appointment via text. At my first appointment, Peggy assessed my skin, told me about my skin type, and shared what I could focus on. She has never tried to sell products, but was helpful in making a recommendation when asked. I appreciate the text reminders for upcoming appointments. I also appreciate how flexible she is. I have had a few random skin issues flare up on weeks when I have a facial scheduled and she has always been willing to push my appointment a few weeks to let my skin calm down before going in. I love the calming atmosphere and each step of the facial! I always leave with glowing skin and never have any redness or irritation after a facial. I also feel that it is very reasonably priced, which makes monthly visits possible. As long as I am living in the area, I plan to keep coming here! I highly recommend.“
