We had a frustrating experience with another company before calling Rob at Primary Mechanical. The first company came out and suggested that we likely had a leak, but their solution was to simply add refrigerant, which they said would 'hold us over' through the cold season. They charged us $200 per pound of refrigerant, filling the unit with 7 lbs, and the total bill came to $1,500. Unfortunately, the heater only worked for one day before it broke again by Monday. When we called the same company back, they recommended installing a new unit for around $1,500.
