“Rockin Rob lived up to his name, he ROCKED! We came to him with a pretty experimental take -- we wanted to do the entire interior of our little bungalow in Hollywood in a partial coverage epoxy with a custom blend that complimented our interior.
Rob came through with a great blend of primaries and orange, and agreed to give the partial coverage a shot (we learned that it's much more difficult to nail the partial flake coverage because it shows the imperfections in the concrete).
We prepped our concrete with our contractor with some self leveling cement, and it turned out our prep work wasn't perfect -- some of the cement was a it too porous to hold the epoxy.
Rob was hesitant to go through with the job because he was worried it wouldn't come out well... but he took the chance and went for it.
We did a first coat, but it didn't take very well. Rob's definitely a perfectionist and passionate about his craft -- so he went in troubleshoot mode and made some very last minute solution calls, got some extra epoxy and stayed longer than he was contracted to, in order to complete a second coat. It was a high pressure situation and, again, it really showed how much pride Rob takes in his craft. He got the job done, and we've been really happy with the floor. Many thanks to Rockin' Epoxy!
