1200 Gough St, San Francisco“Shockwave therapy at HealthWell completely changed my recovery. After dealing with intense pain for two months, Shockwave therapy allowed me to return to sports and stay active again after just a few treatments. The HealthWell team was professional, attentive, and clearly identified my problem and treated me appropriately. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with persistent pain.“

1466 31st Ave, San Francisco“I came in with ongoing jaw issues (serious enough that doctors had recommended surgery after an MRI) as well as constant shoulder pain. Henry took the time to understand what was really going on and targeted the muscles that were overcompensating for underlying weaknesses. Over time, my pain was relieved and I’m incredibly grateful for the results I experienced.“

44 Gough St Floor 3, Ste. 308, San Francisco“I cannot say enough wonderful things about LEPT and Micheline’s team. I previously did physical therapy at UCSF and unfortunately had a terrible experience, so I was hesitant to try again. After waiting a couple of months to get into LEPT, I finally understood why the waitlist is so long—it is absolutely worth it.
From the very first session, Micheline listened so carefully, took my concerns seriously, and continuously adjusted my treatment plan based on how I was progressing. Her expertise and attention to detail are exceptional, and her warm personality makes every visit feel welcoming—she always greets you with a big smile. Ronin has also been an absolute pleasure to work with—patient, encouraging, and always making sure I’m doing every movement correctly to avoid injury and maximize improvement.
And Mazy is just a big plus—she’s the cutest, fluffiest dog ever and brightens every session!
I genuinely feel supported here, and even as I recover, I find myself not wanting to stop because the care is that good. LEPT has completely changed how I view physical therapy, and I’m incredibly grateful for the progress I’ve made with this amazing team. Highly recommend!“
“I came under the care of Marty Mattox after I broke a bone in my foot. I wanted to get back to training for marathons as soon as possible without the risk of reinjuring myself. The entire staff was great, from the people booking the appointment to checking me in to the support therapists that took me through exercises. Marty herself was very knowledgeable, extremely experienced, including with athletes and got me back to being me. On to the Chicago Marathon for me.“

1541 Old Bayshore Hwy, Burlingame“We had an excellent experience working with Starfish Therapies. From the outset, the team was incredibly patient, calm, and professional, and their level of care and attentiveness with our baby immediately put us at ease. Stacy’s approach was thoughtful and individualized, and she provided clear guidance along with simple at-home exercises to help us stay consistent. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly while remaining reassuring throughout the process. We felt well supported every step of the way and would highly recommend Starfish Therapies to any family seeking skilled, compassionate pediatric physical therapy.“

Four 4 months straight Joey took me through all the steps to recovery. Extremely knowledgable, convivial, empathetic and appropriately forceful, Joey is the best. I am back to biking and hiking. If you want to recover and be like you were, you should call Joey.“

22 Battery St # 888, San Francisco“I’ve been seeing Giancarlo Centeno for a wrist/hand injury and couldn’t be happier. He did a very thorough first evaluation and really listens and cares — I’ve made great progress in just a couple of months.
The whole team is awesome: Zoe is super helpful and always checks in during sessions, and Carlie makes scheduling and insurance a breeze — efficient, warm, and a clear communicator.
The office is clean, well-equipped, and has a really welcoming atmosphere. It does get busy, so my first appointment took a bit to book, but after that everything’s been smooth.
Friendly team, great vibe, and effective care — highly recommend!“

667 Chenery St, San Francisco“Already seeing the benefits of doing PT with Maral. Prior to meeting Maral, I had been living with foot/ankle injuries over the last 10+ years, always avoiding doing anything about it until it started really impacting my day-to-day, that is when Maral came into the picture and it’s been significantly better since working with her. I have had less pain and more mobility. She is thoughtful & kind (along with the whole Living Healthy team). Really enjoy coming to their office and wanted to extended a sincere thank you!“

1360 9th Ave #210, San Francisco“Dr. Chan is awesome, he is attentive, thorough and the best PT I’ve been to in SF. The office is really nice once you’re inside - go down the hall and up the second floor. Super knowledgeable with the care he gave and made sure to follow up with me afterwards. He also did massage which was great. I actually left walking a bit better than before. Front desk and payment/insurance was easy. Some of these other reviews are really incorrect, don’t miss out on this great PT!“
“Carol Ludwig is probably the best physical therapist I’ve ever had. After being in an auto accident and having head neck and back injuries, Carol has helped me with my posture and has given me exercises to do at home which have have both helped relieve a lot of the pain.“
“My mom recently sustained a pelvic fracture (basically the butt bone from a fall-I told her there is a new meaning to a pain in the butt!). It is quite a painful type of fracture actually. She had a great stay at Sutter Mills Peninsula on the orthopedic floor. Every staff member we met was wonderful. People helped us that weren't even assigned to her and with a friendly smile. Even the manager (I believe her name was Pat Jones-forgive me, if I get it wrong, I am doing it from a poor memory as it is and didn't get a chance to write the names down). Anyways, she is the manager on the orthopedic floor and she even came into help me move my mom to the bed. Many managers won't even do this calling for help, but she was right in there helping and explaining things about pelvic fractures, the lift devices, etc. She was amazing. It was a great, cohesive team all working with each other that I observed throughout the stay from CNAs, nurses, case manager, etc. Also noted that the floor was very calm which was peaceful and nice. I have been around many hospitals and many are chaotic, not peaceful, busy and this was very nice. I am sure they were busy but when they were with you, our nurses were very attentive to my mom. All the nurses that were assigned to her were wonderful, capable and had a good bedside manner. I am sorry I did not get every nurse's name, but Marilyn was her day nurse and I think there was a Gina (not sure, but I think I remember that name on the board). Hope the hospital looks up their names on the days my mom was there and give them kudos from us and let them know they are on Yelp! THANK YOU for as pleasant a stay that we could have given a fractured pelvis! And I am in the medical field, so I know good care when I see it as I come from the best facility (albeit retired early) ;)!“
“I have been working with Wendy for a right shoulder injury, and I have been well cared for. I (being Irish) tease Wendy about how much a slave driver she is in making me do my rehab exercises. It is apparent just how much the entire staff and especially the therapists care about anyone who comes through the doors here. I unreservedly recommend this firm if you ever need physical therapy.“
“James is the man! I saw James due to some severe lower back pain. He is no nonsense and got right to the point. He diagnosed my issue very quickly and gave me some exercises to perform at home. I saw him three times over the course of 3 weeks and that was all it took. He doesn't try to upsell or try to get you coming back for anything longer than it takes to get your ailment cured. His methods were based on fundamentals. I found James to be very nice and to the point. Go see James he will take care of you and get you back on your feet! Scott“
“I'm kinda shocked that I hadn't already written a rave review long ago. I guess I assumed I had, but now I get to rave over 23 years and multiple injuries, surgeries, and recoveries. Starting after the 19 spine procedures with a prognosis of paralysis by 2007; nope! And yes, still doing Karen's exercises today. Then a torn bicep tendon reattached 12 years ago, and with Karen's brilliant work, 100% strength and extension. Then in 2019 I tore multiple tendons, muscles, and ligaments in my shoulder in a skating accident. Completely re-built shoulder in surgery. Once again, Karen helped me regain strength and mobility and today (at 64yrs of age) I'm doing 45 pushups and 10 pull-ups in an "L" along with my Physical Therapy exercises. Karen is an absolute genius when it comes to Physical therapy.“

“I had a total hip replacement surgery a couple of months ago, and is finally able to go to outpatient physical therapy. When I started looking for a therapist, I just wanted someone close by and have plenty of parking space. When I went to my first appointment I was very pleased with the place. It was spacious, well-lighted, clean with a lot of equipments and exercise benches. My therapist, Daphne, is young but knows what she's doing. She is very professional and respectful. Glad I was able to find this place to help me on my road to recovery.“
