“When our home's old screens and sliding door glass were worn out after 30 years, many told us that it is very expensive to replace screens/frames and sliding doors. We have searched many window service providers and yes, it was very pricey.
Then we thought maybe we can see if it is possible to replace the screen only. Bull's came out of search results and surprisingly they were able to come to our house to take off the screes and measure the sliding door glass on Saturday! Very efficient indeed.
The efficiency comes in many aspects:
- they always call ahead of their coming to our hours at least days before;
- they are pretty punctual. when they informed us about the time frame, they did come in that 2-hour window;
- they emailed the quote clearly showing the charges without hidden costs;
- best of all, their technicians, especially Brandon, are very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, patient and willing to answer all questions.
- last but not least, they have 20-year warranty on sliding door glass.
Now we have new screen (frames still old though old) and sliding door glass! Highly recommended!“

“We've done a lot of house projects recently and so rarely in the last 2 years have I been able to give one of these companies a five star view. But Able Glass? I would give them six stars if I could.

Recommended to me by a friend who recently had their windows replaced, I reached out to Able not sure about how their timelines would be. Eric, the owner, was extremely responsive, getting back to my initial request in under an hour. By the end of the same day, I had an appointment scheduled for one of their people to take a look and give us an estimate. At the time, we were in the middle of a kitchen remodel. Turns out our contractor wanted us to wait until after the project was completed to get the windows replaced due to permitting. No problem - Able quickly worked with us to get our appointment canceled and rescheduled once we were ready.

When Leo came out, he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He answered a lot of questions on site, and Eric replied to all of our follow-up questions via email. They have a showroom locally that I was able to go to to check out the actual windows to help me decide on the model I wanted. Once I landed on the model, Able placed the window order. They came in pretty quickly in my opinion, I think about six weeks? Maybe a little bit quicker.

As soon as the windows arrived, they reached out to schedule the installation. Since we were replacing a lot of windows, it was a multi day project. We were able to schedule for the following week. The crew came and knocked out the windows in two days. There was some extra work that needed to happen to install trim around the windows on the outside, and they came on a Saturday to finish that work.

I was extremely impressed at how clean they kept the work area, barely any dust/debris left at all. I was expecting a lot more, but they were vacuuming the whole time and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. The areas on the existing trim that we needed to do paint touchup on were also so much smaller than I expected. I could barely even tell that the windows were replaced from looking at the trim! The outside trim work that they did was very high-quality, and both my husband and I were impressed at the final look. It truly looks way better than it did before. Plus, the crew were so helpful in explaining all the trim options to us, showing us mock ups of what it might look like, and helping us choose the best option. “In 1993, we added a 2nd story to our home. At the time we did not have the funds to upgrade the existing single pane windows downstairs to energy efficient double pane. After postponing it for decades, in the Spring of 2023, we decided to do the replacement. After a few interviews, we settled on Anderson Window and Door Installation.
The original look was very dated (see tan & cream picture ) with heavy border boards (called Belley Boards) wrapping the house. Since John’s team was already doing some construction to resize the window openings, we asked if they could also remove the ugly Belly Boards and heavy wood trim everywhere.
John was extremely accommodating and his team…wow… great guys. They understood exactly what we wanted… basically a craftsman look. They suggested the 2 inch beading across the sheets of plywood to break up the large expanses of T8 Plywood and achieved the perfect look we wanted to achieve.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Anderson Windon and Door Installation. Quality of every step was above and beyond excellent and his price was VERY Reasonable.

“Five-Stars all the way around for Sean and his team at California Window & Fireplace for my new Velux skylight systems!

I have been waiting to write this review, so I could give Cal Window some big props on handling two separate disputes with the Velux factory for a new product they introduced this year - custom-size blinds. While Velux is arguably the best skylight manufacturer out there, they also appeared to have some operational issues launching their new custom-blinds product and twice shipped two incorrect orders, first with a skylight, then with blinds.

I do want to applaud Sean for how he handled things in a winsome way. Velux didn’t want to own the first mistake, but Sean was persistent and was able to drive it to resolution…and then same on the second mistake the Velux factory made.

All three skylights are now installed with the correct custom-size automated blinds and they work great…and the skylights are great!

Thank you Sean, Gloria, Alex, Nancy, and Patrick for the constant communication letting me know where things stood. I am looking forward to working with you all again!“

“We interviewed 3 companies and chose Peninsula to replace 4 sets of exterior French doors. Their response, attention, timing and price were factors in making our decision. They made several suggestions that we hadn't considered that were very beneficial. They stayed true to schedule and completed the job in 3 days. The real bonus is that their team is wonderful. Nice, considerate, clean, neat and willing to do extra to please. We enjoyed having them at our house and felt comfortable giving them a key so we could continue with our daily schedule. Two major notes. . we wanted to keep hardware that we had recently purchased and they were fine with that while other companies insist on selling you their hardware; the other factor is they paint the doors both inside and out at the shop! I provided them with our paint colors and they had everything perfect. They brought the paint to do minor touch ups when they completed the job, reinstalled our alarm contacts and assured us if we need anything they would be happy to come back out. We couldn't be happier!!!“

“I accidentally broke a large window in my living room. I needed to fix it quickly since I was going out of town on vacation. This place was an excellent solution. The guy was very friendly on the phone and also in person. I needed 4 pieces custom dimensions. I took the three small frames in so we could make sure they fit. He cut the glass to fit perfectly and glued them in. I did not ask him but he knew the plan and did it to help me out. Every thing was done in about 30 min.
I hope I never need this service again but if anyone does I highly recommend this company.“
