When I moved to OC, someone recommended Dr. Arai. In I go with full of pain, out I came with my body feeling ever lighter and aligned. His method might be somewhat different from many chiropractors you’ve had sessions with. No fancy machines, no unnecessary joint adjustments where you feel no change after the adjustment. He carefully examines your body and makes adjustments as necessary. I’ve been with him for 3 years now, and my condition has significantly improved! Now I come back for him to make routine adjustments (my posture is bad that my back gets misaligned if I left it unattended). If it wasn’t for him, the pain was so unbearable that my life would’ve been miserable. Take my word and just make an appointment. You won’t regret it. Oh, the price is very reasonable too. “If I could give Dr. Gillis 10 stars, I would. Because she is THAT good. I originally came in for severe TMJ pain in 2021 after my dentist recommended surgery that would require breaking my jaw and having it wired shut for weeks while it healed (sooo glad I didn't go that route). Because I was in so much pain, Dr. Gillis had me come in that day after the office closed so we could have plenty of time for a full consultation, do x rays, etc. That was the first time I have ever felt listened to and cared for by a healthcare professional like that. Based on her treatment plan, I was able to get my jaw pain under control and now I look forward to the adjustments for how good it makes the rest of my body feel as a result! In my 1.5 years of seeing Dr. Gillis, I have never once felt rushed during an appointment. She takes the time to check in and ask how my body is doing/feeling and genuinely listens to what I say. She also takes the time to get to know me on a personal level which sometimes makes me feel like I'm talking with a friend :) I recently moved to Dana Point and still continue to make the drive to see her because I truly don't think anyone could top her!
