“This is an establishment that I took two of my former dogs to over 30 years ago. I have a new puppy and she’s back with them as well. They give very thorough examinations and they go over each item in detail on the invoice until you understand. The office is clean! Very clean. You’d think you were there for a human. HOWEVER, This is what I expect from any hospital human or animal. It makes you feel very comfortable. And the knowledgeable staff is very friendly, informative, and the doctors and staff provide information in layman’s terms. They spend enough time with you to ensure you are comfortable and fully informed. I’m so glad to be back with a professional and caring animal hospital. And to be back with MY Avalon Animal and Bird Hospital! And I say many thanks to them, and to those reading this review, make your appointment now for your fur baby, feathered baby, or whatever baby you have. You won’t regret it. Oh, and the comments you may read about not being able to go inside is false. They may have gone during the pandemic and was not allowed in. Only the pet. But you absolutely ? can go inside. As you should. And I was placed in a very clean room with my Roxi. So I’m not sure where they get that from. They do have signs posted for drop offs or pick ups, but that sign is for those with disabilities or who can’t walk in. I hope that clears up some of the misleading post. Because I had to call them once there because I read the post and then saw the signs and I almost didn’t go. I’m so glad I did my own investigation because that is not the experience I remember from my past visits with my former pets. And they still had the records on both of my former pets! That was really over 30 years ago. I had both of those dogs when my daughter was a young child and she’s 37 now. And it’s the same warm, friendly, informative services I remember. Judge for yourself. You’ll be glad you did.“

“Ryan did Buster’s (cat) shave and was so gentle. Buster can be 22lbs of grouchiness at times but Ryan said Buster never growled“

“What a wonderful vet! My little dog was having a respiratory problem and itching and licking. Dr. Antoun saw him after a full day of patients and really examined and took care of my little guy. Then called and spent time going over everything with me. Such a great office! Love them so much! Definitely recommend them!♥️“

“We were very happy with the care at Primary Care Animal Hospital. Dr. Kate Raczak and the assistants were amazing with our dog’s first vet visit and made her very comfortable. Bree, the tech, reassured us when she took our kitty back for evaluation and told us the details of the treatment instructions at the end of the visit. Dr. Mori explained what she needed to do to evaluate our kitty and was very reassuring.

“We had a really good experience at Primary Care Animal Hospital. Our dog started having blood in her urine and was trying to pee but nothing would come out. Our regular vet initially gave antibiotics and medication, and he said if it happens again, we should take her to the hospital for more test as he was thinking there was something in her bladder like stones. When the symptoms returned a week later, we knew we had to take her to the hospital. Since our usual clinic doesn’t offer urgent care, we searched and found this hospital on Google.

They were able to see us the same day. The front desk staff was very kind and welcoming, and even though the place is currently remodeling, everything still felt organized and efficient. They performed an X-ray and urinalysis, found a bladder stone, and clearly explained the situation and treatment options. Because the stone was too large to pass naturally, surgery was recommended. They walked us through the procedure, provided a clear estimate, and scheduled surgery for the very next day.

The entire visit took about 3 hours, and we felt our dog was in very good hands the whole time. She is now on the road to recovery, and we’re so grateful for the care she received. We also appreciate that this hospital is closer to home — we’ve definitely found our new vet.

“I was at Redondo and 7 th street when my husband and I noticed that people were pointing to a cat that had just gotten hit by a car and was still alive,so we scooped up the cat and stayed with it on the side of the road.Another person called cats and dogs animal hospital and a few minutes later a technician from there came out and took the cat to their physicality and do not know what happened with the cat but thank you to the quick and kind technician who picked him up“

“Dr. A (Andrew Arriola) and the whole staff at Animal Hospital of South Bay is wonderful. I brought my dog, Sophie, a 7 year old maltese-shih tzu, here after leaving my previous vet, just for a routine checkup as well as to observe a cough she had developed. He diagnosed her that day with heart disease which was obviously a shock as she had been nothing but healthy according to our previous vet. He took X-rays and showed us everything and walked us through it all.

As a puppy, we were told by our previous vet that she had a heart murmur but to bring her in every 6 months for a check up so they could continue to keep an eye on it. We thought they were monitoring it but according to Dr. A, they were not. This was extremely jarring to hear but Dr. A was very reassuring that with proper medication (that we started immediately) and seeking a cardiologist, we could delay her heart failure. Throughout this whole process Dr. A understood our surprise, sadness, and frustrations and did an amazing job at educating and comforting me and my family.

After following the proper protocol and doing everything we could for Sophie to ensure she was comfortable, we unfortunately made the decision to euthanize and, when we did, Dr. A and his staff were extremely supportive. After her passing, we received a card signed by all the staff members which meant a lot. Although we lost Sophie, Dr. A was able to buy us invaluable time with her that we wouldn't have gotten had we never gone to him and stayed at our previous vet -- grateful doesn't even begin to cover it.“

“I love Dr. Traci she is the best. I feel at ease knowing I'm leaving my little Dude in knowledgeable and loving hands. Every employee I have had contact with has made me feel like family. They are so kind. I would highly recommend taking your loving pet here. I know I would never think of taking my precious little Dude anywhere else. UPDATE Everyone at Ohana Veterinary Clinic is exceptional. The receptionists the doctors the assistants. I have never felt more comfortable when leaving Dude in the hands of Dr. Traci or anyone at Ohana. The love that everyone gives is rare. I have never had a Veterinary Clinic show so much love and care
to Dude it's like they are treating their animal. They give Dude so much love it's amazing. I would never take Dude anywhere else. Ohana Veterinary Clinic has an exceptional team they are very special to Dude and me. I highly recommend this clinic. Update Wonderful experience once again! I took my little dog Dude for an appointment. He has been coming here all his life. It was an exceptionally hot day. I was surprised but not really surprised because I know the staff here at Ohana Veterinarian clinic is always thinking about your precious pet. They had put out a fresh bowl of water for my Dude. I can't say it enough I Love this clinic and every employee. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND OHANA VETERINARIAN CLINIC. Update 1/29/26. Once again Ohana Veterinary Clinic has provided my dog Dude with precise care. I never leave wondering what else could they have done. I feel confident and pleased with every visit. “i feel like i know of a hidden treasure coming to this place and i almost don’t want to write this review lest anything changes when an influx of people flock! but, you need to know. this place is legitimately the best vet ever. not only are they open basically all day, but their prices are very reasonable, and more than that their staff—especially Chloe, a caretaker for boarding—is phenomenal. i have a deaf blind 75lb puppy w lots of energy and they figured out a way to safely entertain him while i leave him for dayboarding. he literally needs to be dragged out of the facility bc he wants to stay! i just love it here and want to give each and every staff person from receptionist to vet a shout out.
