About Personal Pilates

This was my first Pilates mat class and it inspired me to go to a chain gym for another class but after that class, it really made me appreciate Personal Pilates practice a lot more. Because the Personal Pilates class was smaller, it felt more one on one and personable. I also really enjoyed how Jolene talked us through the exercises but focused on keeping form and doing what's best for the body versus hitting number or reps. It was a welcoming class for beginners and I'd love to do it again and check out some of the other classes!
Really great atmosphere! The people and the instructors are so much fun. They make you feel great about yourself. I actually refer to the other people in the classes as my pilates friends.
Last year, I was in so much pain from a back injury that I could barely get off the couch. Today, I just finished my 100th class!
All of that is because of Personal Pilates. I tried several other studios and none of them had the joy and thoughtfulness I've experienced at Personal Pilates. They really mean personal! All of the instructors have done a great job tailoring the moves to fit my injuries and specific body. Kim's basics class has been particularly game changing. She really explains things in depth, and the pace is slow enough that it's easy to ask questions. But that doesn't mean it's not a workout! I always leave sweating.
