“Short version: Justin (owner, GC) completed a remodel of our 5 bd, 3 bath house where every room was touched, and did it to the estimated price and on schedule per our initial meeting. The communication and responsiveness was great during the whole process, and if any issues did arise, it was addressed promptly to our liking. Long version: Our remodel consisted of removing a load bearing wall and installing a steel beam, complete repipe of water and sewer lines, new hvac/furnace/ducting, kitchen layout and new cabinets, 2 bathroom remodel and a bathroom added, added laundry room, electrical rewire, recessed lighting, and new windows/doors. Virtually everything in our 2200 sqft house was replaced minus the drywall. My wife and I developed our remodel plans, had structural plans made for the beam, created a detailed scope of work of what we wanted done (you should do this when meeting with potential contractors so that everyone is bidding on the same project), and met with 12 contractors total that were either recommended to us by friends or family, or ones that advertise on social media/ print ads. Justin was recommended to us through someone my father has worked with for a while. He was the second contractor we met with, and promptly provided a detailed estimate that was broken up room by room and trade by trade so that we could assess what we could do within our project budget and to ensure there was nothing left off the list. Despite asking all contractors for the same format, Justin was 1 of 3 that actually did so. When we got the other contractor bids, there were numerous areas where the estimated costs were much higher but with zero description, and as a result, we didn't have a good feeling they knew what was going to be needed to complete our job. Justin was checking in during this process which was another positive sign to us, where some of the others would not return phone calls or emails. Once we signed the contract with Justin, he was able to start the next week and our project was underway.Justin is the primary general contractor, but has a core group of employees that complete a lot of the work. He uses specific trades to complete the cabinetry, tile, paint, flooring. His crew and his subcontractors crew do quality work and keep the job site clean. In the few occasions we noticed something we didn't like, we would report it to Justin and it would get corrected shortly thereafter. There were a couple scope changes my wife and I initiated where he would provide a change order, wait for for approval, and then proceed when we gave him the go ahead. At the end of the project, when we received the final invoice, the total summed up to the bid price he initially provided (plus the COs), which further confirmed his understanding of the project requirements and pricing to get the job done. I would recommend Justin to anyone who is looking for an honest contractor, that will be responsive and take your calls/meet with you when requested, and do it all at a fair price.“

“Besides the remediation and repair (which included adding insulation which wasn't there before), they also sealed up our windows and put a new sill on the outside since the old one had been destroyed by water. Everything looks amazing after their work was complete, and they left everything very clean!“

Project Manager Trevor was friendly and easy to work with. He was very well organized & responsible.The floor tile that I chose came with some defects and he exchanged them for me. That created extra work for him, but he had such a good attitude & provided great customer service.His partner Mary from Vanguard Design was also very pleasant to work with and helped me a lot with some extra work not covered by insurance. Although I had to pay myself, but she made it a lot easier for me to have the job accomplished!Thanks to this great team! I can see the light again! “Rudy, Edwin, and Henry came out today in the rain to install a roof tarp. They called to let me know they were 30 minutes away. Their appointment window was between 9-11 AM, and they arrived at 8:50 AM. They were professional and courteous, informing me of everything they were going to do. They took photos of the tarping and conducted thermal scans of the rooms to check for moisture. These guys were great.Update:My first touchpoint was with Amy at the Oakwood Office. She was also very professional, followed up on the project, and provided me with a way to contact her during the weekend if I needed anything regarding the project. This was greatly appreciated.“
