Whispering Oaks Chapel Funeral Services And Cemeteries

“Me and my husband Joshua had a beautiful intimate wedding at Whispering Oaks Chapel. The host Shiela was so so sweet and made sure it was a beautiful experience and ceremony. The officiant Sandy said some beautiful words during the ceremony it was perfect. Whispering Oaks was the perfect location for our wedding. I loved seeing the beautiful green Oak tree and Mountain View when walking down the aisle. After experiencing my wedding there, I know exactly why it is called Whispering Oak the wind brushing against the leaves, brings a serene sound much like a whisper to your ears. I’d like to believe it was my past loved ones saying how proud and how much they loved us during our ceremony. :) <3
Thank you for giving us an unforgettable wedding:)! 5 out of 5 stars!!!“

“Armando and his team did an amazing job. Naturally we were going through a very hard time, and his reasonably priced service was professional and included the flowers, transportation, guidance, guest registry, pallbearer gloves, and so many other items and details we would not have thought of. It was a fraction of the cost of what the mortuary wanted to charge.“

Assumption Catholic Cemetery Funeral Services And Cemeteries

“I have been doing pre-planning and price comparisons thus visited a few different cemeteries and options in LA. Most places within the city limits are VERY pricey, with the cheapest option for a plot starting at $15k. Assumption Cemetery is very reasonably priced and also located in a nice, quiet, residential area and nowhere near a noisy freeway or in a heavily industrialized or commercial district so it's much more tranquil and peaceful.

Our sales rep Johanna A. has been very open, honest and clear with us about pricing and what that includes. Another major funeral/cemetery company I went to visit was not like that- the sales guy was a little shady/greasy and didn't disclose major obvious costs and it got quite frustrating. So Johanna A. at Catholic Cemeteries has been great and again very transparent pricing etc.

I also liked Assumption Cemetery the best out of all the 4-5 places we've visited. It's smaller and more tranquil and beautiful. I understand some other reviewers are frustrated by the supposedly strict decoration policies- but this is to prevent a cemetery from looking like a flea market or bazaar marketplace and cluttered and crowded with tacky decor. The rules and regulations are there to keep an aesthetically pleasing, uniform, and respectful environment for souls to rest and family & friends to mourn and visit.

I would recommend in general for everyone- whether you are 'at need' or 'pre-planning,' please do not rush and make sure you take the time to look over and triple-check all documents and contracts and make sure everything looks ok (plot #'s, names, dates, years, inscriptions, locations etc). Just take the time to look it over and be detail-oriented, and ask another family member or person to check over with another pair of eyes to ensure mistakes are found early or no errors done at all hopefully.

Lastly, one of the best features of this cemetery is that it has a good amount of BIG, mature trees which provide beautiful greenery and much needed shade. Mature large trees, greenery and flowers are such a great addition so I'm glad Assumption still has an abundance of mature trees and flowers.“

“Everything went better & faster than I was expecting. I took the burial permit to Oakwood, signed the paperwork and had my mother’s urn buried, all the same day. A month later the bronze plaque was placed on the grave without delay. The price was competitive and the grounds are better maintained than some cemeteries I’ve seen. I’m very pleased with the results.“
