About Chicago Music Store
Chicago Music Store, a Tucson favorite for nearly a century, is currently in its third generation of family ownership. It has been voted Best Music Store by readers of the Tucson Weekly for twelve consecutive years. The store offers a wide range of musical instruments and equipment, including guitars, keyboards, folk instruments, amps, effects, PA gear, strings, brass, woodwinds, and more. Customers have shared positive experiences with the knowledgeable and friendly staff, particularly Mark and Mike, who are praised for their expertise and professionalism. Many customers have expressed satisfaction with the service provided at the downtown location, highlighting the helpful advice given for instrument issues. However, there have been some mixed reviews regarding repairs. One customer experienced a significant miscommunication about the cost of saxophone repairs, initially quoted at an excessive price before being informed of a much lower estimate. Although the repair was completed, the customer reported dissatisfaction with the quality of the work and the lack of documentation. Overall, Chicago Music Store is well-regarded for its friendly service and extensive product range, but it is advised that customers carefully discuss repair expectations beforehand to ensure a positive experience.

I needed some advice about the buzzing of my high E string and Mike at the downtown Tucson location was very helpful and gave some tips as to how to fix the issue. It worked great. Much appreciated and I bought some saxophone socks for my grandson who has just taken up playing the Sax.
