“I started physical therapy because I was dealing with sciatica and a shoulder injury caused by repetitive movements at work. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’ve was genuinely impressed with how much better I felt.

For my sciatica, the therapists focused on improving my mobility, calming down the nerve pain, and strengthening the muscles around my lower back and hips. The mix of hands-on work, stretching, and exercises made a noticeable difference pretty quickly. I’m moving with no pain now and when I do have a flare up, I go back to the home exercise program they gave me.

My shoulder was another big issue—it was constantly irritated from the repetitive tasks I do at work. The team walked me through a clear, steady plan to regain strength and mobility. They always explained what each exercise was for and made sure I was doing everything safely.

I also want to mention how great the people there are. My therapist was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely caring and invested in helping me improve. And the front desk receptionist was always friendly and welcoming, making every visit easy and stress-free.

Update: Amanda and William worked with me. They were professional, kind, caring and gentle. I was not able to continue care through Spooner (due to an insurance change) and they showed me what to do from home.

“A year ago I started Therapy with Preferred Physical. I can't say enough about how wonderful the results have been. My pain post hip replacement was moderate overall, however I knew I needed more guidance to see the best results from my surgery. I knew where to go for it to be addressed, and that was Nick and his staff at Preferred Physical Therapy. Through PT I have NO pain currently and so much more flexibility. This positive improvement is most noticeable while walking as well as increased stability throughout various daily functional movements. The staff is kind and helpful. Each excesses I"m shown how to do it and how many to do. Through Aolani has been such a wonderful resource when it comes to helping me fully understand my exercises as well as providing 1:1 stretch therapy while in office. I see her sprinkled into my individual therapy plan. Usually it is after I see Nick or another staff member. I am looking forward to the Regenerative Treatment Program which I recently learned about to improve my tissue repair from previous surgeries as well as aches and pains throughout my body.“
