STAR Central is a supportive center offering behavioral health services in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Staff members are dedicated and genuinely care about their members and the community, often going above and beyond to help others. The center is open six days a week and four evenings, making it accessible for everyone. Programs focus on enhancing communication, social support, and employability, helping participants thrive in their communities. Many visitors have praised the kindness and compassion of the staff, creating a welcoming environment for all. STAR Central truly makes a difference in the lives of those they serve, fostering recovery and connection.

I became a member at Star just before the initial shutdown do to covid-19. Prior to that I was attending another Wellness & Recovery community. I never felt totally accepted at the previous community by staff and Leadership. I try to be the most authentic me I can be everyday. I feel the Star leadership and the majority of Staff have embraced that Within me. Right now I only attend on Zoom. it's my opinion that the strides star has made in the virtual community is groundbreaking. There focus now is on combining both of the virtual and the physical communities at all three locations. At this point in time I choose to stay home and I am so grateful that I have a place to show up 7 days a week virtually and feel like I'm part of the community, just as though I was physically at one of the centers. I have received Services many years and this is truly one of the most caring places I have had the pleasure of belonging to.
