“I had several services through the Evolve spa this past weekend. On Saturday I had a head spa and a zero gravity mani plus a pedi. I do not have words for how absolutely amazing both of those women are. I wish I had remembered their names !! My head spa tech had green hair, was so professional, and the service as fabulous !! My nail tech had some of the coolest tattoos and was so personable. She was extremely precise the my polish and I felt like a million dollars walking out of that salon on Saturday. I had a very different experience on Sunday though which I wanted to bring to the managers attention. I booked a facial and was immediately taken back which was awesome. My tech however didn’t talk to me hardly at all other than short, curt instructions before leaving the room. Before my facial I advised her this was my first facial and I didn’t know what to expect but I had added an extra service onto my facial (micro derm I believe) which I didn’t receive. I think I could have looked past feeling cold shouldered but what really threw me off was her hands smelled like cigarettes which really really grossed me out. If someone is touching my face and trying to encourage the spa experience with aromatherapy therapy, she was far from the mark. I was disappointed with the service to begin with but at the end my tech just walked out of the room. She didn’t say we were done or that time was up. She just walked out of the room and I laid there for about 5 minutes before deciding to get up and get dressed and was later met outside the door by her and I felt as if I had annoyed her by taking so long, but I didn’t realize we were done?! It really detracted from my experience. I’d still book services with Evolve and plan to be back but I’d probably skip facials here unless paired with a different tech who didn’t smoke. To the manager, just a consideration to maybe not have someone who’s hands smell like cigarettes performing a service so close to the face.”
