“We've been long standing patients at another vet office in Surprise but after a less than satisfactory experience with one of our dogs we decided to find a new vet but never got around to it. A year later our elder dog was in medical crisis. Determined not to return to our failed vet, I called area vets with 4+ rating. - Sun City West was the only office willing to see her same day. Dr. Gifford and his team were an absolute Godsend. He was kind, patient and exactly what we needed in our time of need. Ultimately, we decided to help our Zoe go to heaven but the compassion and thoughtfulness shown to us made an extremely difficult and painful decision just a little more bearable, and for that we could never thank them enough.“

“Ignore the most recent 1-star. They don't know the different a regular vet and an emergency hospital and blamed All Star for their ignorance. Now on to my review: They're great. Their prices are phenomenal, their availability is phenomenal, and their vet is great with my cats. No upselling or hard pushes on additional services, they care about your pets wellbeing and are not out for profiteering. Nothing but great things.“

“Had been using another vet for years and grew less & less trusting of him. A friend told me about this place. Why did I wait so long, just half a mile further away but way better treatment. Dr Petersen was great with 2 of my 3 dogs, talked freely, answered all my questions and throughly examined both dogs. He encouraged me to meet Dr Todd whom I met with my 3rd dog, unfortunately for a passing of bridge situation, but he was just as awesome & yet super kind under the circumstances. Glad to join this place, can't wait to continue til they say no more.“

“We've been coming to Acoma for 5 years, ever since my husband did a walk in appointment for our suddenly critically ill dog. Dr. Eells treated my husband and our dog with kindness and compassion. The team at Acoma have helped us with two end of life appointments and referred us to an in-home euthanasia vet during COVID when our elderly dog was actively dying and we had a newborn. I have always felt heard, had my questions answered, and been able to talk through all the options and ask for Dr. Eells' opinion on what course of action to take. We feel as though she has always given us moderate options and have never felt forced into a treatment or diagnostic test that wasn't necessary. The staff are kind, friendly, they recognize and know us by name and are always patient when I have to bring my kids. I know it's hard to be treating pets and talking to owners while their kids are interrupting but everyone has always been really patient with us. It has been really hard since the other vets retired and sometimes getting an appointment is a challenge but we're with Acoma for the long haul! Today, October 16, we rushed our 5 year old dog into the office 5 minutes after they opened because she had been vomiting blood over the weekend. We tried AVECCC and it wasn't a good experience for us. Acoma was able to fit us in as walk ins right away, we did X-rays and got medications and a treatment plan in an hour. It was far more affordable, too. I asked questions about what to look for, when to come back if needed, etc and feel good about bringing our dog home. If you do have to go as a walk in, try to go early and be prepared to wait but they will do their best to see you next a timely manner. Thank you for 5 years of compassionate care of our critters and us humans!“

“Our Tuxedo kitty, Sukie almost 15 years old, was occasionally snapping at us while being brushed. This behavior increased in frequency during the last 8 months. Even licking the brush(?) during each session. And during the last 5 days, started to urinate where she was not supposed to. Took Sukie into Palm Valley Animal Clinic, where she has always gone for checkups. Her teeth needed cleaned and two removed. The surgery was completed by Palm Valley Animal Clinic by Dr Hatch, In four days post-surgical, Sukie demeanor has improved remarkably. No more snapping, no more licking the brush, litter box exclusively used, and very lovable demeanor. We now figure the brush licking was Sukie's method to try and fix the mouth pain she was going through. Thank you, Dr. Hatch, and the staff of Palm Valley Animal Clinic for giving back our loving kitty.“

“My very old cat suddenly became hopelessly sick and needed euthanasia when I wasn’t able to drive to my vet due to chemotherapy reactions. Dr. Martin was very kind, with my cat and me and the whole thing was peaceful as it could be.“

“We consider SVSS to be the best surgeons and staff in all of Arizona!! Their optimal care given to our australian labradoodle, Dodger was outstanding when he broke both hind legs and required surgery to repair both femurs..They were there throughout the entire process during that 10 week period of time and we are so grateful for Dr Newman and Kristin and the entire office staff from their Peoria office.
We are strong advocates of SVSS and give referrals to all we meet. Their standard of care for all animals is outstanding!!

“We've switched all of our pets to these guys for the new year. I've been very happy with them. I do think it is a little on the pricey side BUT they don't immediately go to exploratory things. They start (if you're ok with) the conservative/cheaper route which I'm all for. That also had built my trust so if something is being recommended I don't second guess they are trying to intentionally do unnecessary things to get more money. I appreciate that! Everyone has always been great. On the phone super kind and responsive. In office they are fantastic and get to you on a timely manner. One of my dogs HATES with a burning passion to be at the vet. It's miserable. They have made it less of a dreadful day! At 180 pound 8.5 yr old Saint Bernard her being a stinker is extremely challenging when she weighs more than me!“

“Very Clean & friendly folks inside... not very busy ( just the way I like it) There was a steady flow of customers... The staff was funny & made me laugh. My dog had a skin allergy & they were very attentive to my needs. They didn't push anything one way or another but they did give me several options ( I loved that) They explained the cost of everything before moving forward. I will definitely go back for care of my pet. Within a day my pets rash already looked better. Very easy to make an appointment over the phone. I was seen within a day.“

“My dog had Calcinosis circumscripta - with a large mass on her front left leg. I went to three different Vets for consultation. I felt very uneasy with the one of the vets. By far, I felt the most comfortable with CARE Surgery. Immediately upon arrival, the staff welcomed us right away to a room (I had waited 45 minutes at the first consultation of another Vet). The room had my dog's name on a chalkboard already. Specifically, I was told Dr MaryAnn Radlinsky is a Soft Tissue Specialist. Dr. Radlinsky seemed to know this condition of my dog well and confident she can perform surgery without having to dig in too deep into the tissue. I was worried about recovery time but the Dr did such a phenomenal job, that the recovery was speedy and not as tedious as I was told by other Vets. CARE by far exceeds my expectation. The surgery cost winded up being lower than what they initially quoted (The other Vet I felt they were gauging with the price). I would highly recommend CARE. Their personal touch and expertise really put me at ease!“

“Dr Julia is the best vet we have found in the entire time we've been in AZ (9+ years) Our pup Penny is extremely picky and has double hip dysplasia and doesn't like people near her hind legs. We went to DS to try a new treatment that our vet at the time was not able to try and Penny fell in love with her, to the point where when Dr. Julia walks in Penny lays down right away and usually rolls over on her back to get tummy rubs. We have since become full time clients and we board both our pups there. Brian is the best and loves our pups, both Penny and Winnie love seeing him and have crazy tail wags. (Posting some photos below of their most recent boarding) The front staff is always so helpful and welcoming. I would recommend DS to anyone looking for a new vet or boarding.“

“This place was absolutely amazing. Been driving around all to Arizona for two days to get my dog seeing who had a hole in his face that was clearly extremely infected. When I called West Olive animal Hospital, I know my situation and they squeezed us . Dr. John, Montana so super caring and made sure we understood everything. “Our 10-year-old Jack Russel had to have a teeth cleaning and five teeth removed. I felt nervous because our dog is 10. The clinic did a complete blood work up and Dr. Long met with us to go over the results. He assured us that Buddy would be fine. He was right, Buddy did great! Dr. Long and his assistants, Stephanie and Mia were wonderful! I felt comfortable leaving Buddy in their loving care.“
