“I live in the Granite Dells Prescott AZ. MY story begins with receiving a $1225.00 water bill from Prescott Water Company. When originally contacting them about the bill I was told my leak could be due to excessive leaking in the landscape system. I hired Precision Utility Locating to examine my property for leaks. IT was my best decision ever. Craig came and using he specialized equipment throughly checked every possible leak location in the house (I.e. toilet's, showers, sinks, etc.). No leaks were detected. He then proceeded to checking the landscaping. Here again, no problems were detected. My wife, Craig and myself contacted the Prescott Water department Billing Department. WE had a long conversation with this department and found out there had been an issue with the new metering system. The system transmitter was incorrectly sending the gallons used. The Water department agreed to recalulate the full six months of water consumption from the the beginning of 2026. As a result, they sent us a revised report that dropped our $1225.00 bill to just over $200.00. CRaig and his Precision Utility Locating company was “GOD” sent.
