“I wish I could give them 8 stars out of 5! Absolutely magnificent service with a cheerful and respectful team of engineers! We had an entire ageing and grey-haired heat pump with Frankenstein-style ductwork removed -- the old stuff was frighteningly filthy and undateable -- then this wonderful team proceeded to install the very best and efficient system and ductwork. With the summer heat hitting super highs, they also provided portable units for cooling our main rooms while the new system was being calibrated -- yes CALIBRATED! True HVAC engineers, adjusting airflow to all rooms, installing additional registers and vents as needed in our just-bought 90-year-old home. Incredible to watch and learn what they do -- and such a friendly, obliging team of individuals, not mindless robots. Delightful to chat with as well as get explanations and instructions on everything about our new Gas Pac system. They even ran off to get additional filters for us. I simply can't gush enough compliments about Julian Heat & Air! Thank you so very much, team! I've already hired them to install a mini-split in my outbuilding, too!UPDATE: With such a wonderful team and service, hired Julian to install a Heat/Air Split on one of my outbuiildings -- as before, carefully, neatly, and professionally done. It's also clear that Julian treats their employees with respect and high regard, revealed in how they interact with their customers. Also, they returned to complete the Gas Pac installation once we had natural gas service completed. An incredible company that deserves my highest and most enthusiastic recommendation!SECOND UPDATE (months later) -- Our unit developed an intermittent -- decided not to heat for a short while, then got religion and started working again with no problems. Julian was out to inspect it and gave me instructions on how to record the system codes if it acts up again. Now I feel empowered, able to help them find the problem if it ever rears its head again! Thank you, Julian!THIRD UPDATE -- Trouble above was nothing due to Julian's efforts -- found it to be a power main problem and was fixed by our electrician.FOURTH UPDATE -- September 2023 -- Julian installed a second Samsung Mini-Split unit on our new Studio Building. As always, absolutely professional and friendly team arrived on time and labored efficiently to remove an old PTAC, then install(indoors and out), properly wire, and pressurize the new system. The mark of a class-act, they clean up afterwards. Absolutely wonderful quality service! Julian Heat and Air is First Class and worth every dollar!FIFTH UPDATE -- February 2024 -- A ghost in the heating system kept lurking about, intermittently shutting off usually when needed the most (early morning). I would have to trip the circuit breakers to get it to crank up. Yet, like a ghost, the system would smugly refuse to show any problems when a technician showed up. (What? There's no problem!) After two previous visits that yielded nothing, this time the technician dove in and did a very thorough inspection of absolutely EVERYTHING. The only fault seems to be a simple one: drainage of condensation -- he took the time to shorten the PVC pipe (with his own tools), then continued to inspect every facet of the electronics, sensors, igniters, pressures, including crawling under the house to make sure the thermostat wire wasn't scored or had a short, THEN double-checked the air quality -- no monoxide -- the system runs perfectly. “Had an emergency Thursday night where my motor failed on my ac unit. They came out after I got off work at around 7pm Friday night and were able to confirm and diagnose what I originally thought the issue was. Mr. Larry was not sure he would have a motor that would work with my particular ac unit. Luckily he had one that was compatible and had us back up and running with ice cold air in about 45 minutes from pulling into the driveway to getting us fixed to having our invoice and payment accepted. Mr. Larry is also an amazing and funny individual. We highly recommend A-1 especially Mr. Larry to anyone. We know when we replace the entire ac system and relocate it we will be calling A-1 and requesting Mr. Larry“
