This is a local, black owned business that has even been featured in vogue for keeping dandyism alive, so I’d say it’s a true staple for our community. Please support local wherever you can, and keep lovely people like this in business!“

Not only did Loretta hem them perfectly, but she asked if I wanted to add pockets to my jumpsuit which made me so happy bc I absolutely LOVE it!!!! I will be back next week with more clothes!!!“

None of us could remember how much of each color ribbon was needed, so we all started Googling it with no luck. I am posting the directions here for future reference. ?“

They are consistent, less expensive than their competitors, and a locally owned business. The owner, Pete, takes a “Hands on” approach, and he has built a team dedicated to customer service.“

100 Canyon Park Dr, Pelham“I have used this particular dry cleaners since 2016. They have changed management but the service is still excellent. I have never used them for alterations because I can, mostly, do my own. However, I ran into a problem when the timing on my sewing machine was thrown out of whack. Just on a whim, I decided to give them a try and I could not have been more pleased. The tailor/seamstress did a beautiful job. Before she started the work, she called me to get clarification and she finished the job quickly. Admittedly, she did a better job than I would have done. From now on, I will use their alteration services anytime I'm not up to doing the work myself.“

What really stood out was how quickly they completed the job for me. I’ll be returning for future alterations and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, timely service.“

I had very low expectations for the project due to the difficulty and it came out better than I imagined. This is my new tailoring service in the Birmingham area- I am so impressed!“

1812 28th Ave S, Homewood“The owner of the business is a wonderful and lovely woman. She is clearly overwhelmed with volume of work and has trouble keeping up with the number of jobs she takes on. The quality of her work is really high, just don’t be in a hurry. I had her replace the lining of a 40 year old sleeping bag which that also required some repairs. It turned out great! I also had her turn a few t-shirts into throw pillows. The prices all seemed fair for the quality of work. The business is located in downtown Homewood and is easy to access.“

1917 Oxmoor Rd, Birmingham“I own a vintage clothes business and exclusively use Mary and crew at ABC to mend every piece that needs it. I have been using ABC for over 5 years. Mary knows how to work with vintage clothes often doing a lot of the sewing by hand. She understands when I have a show coming up and need things faster than normal. I would recommend ABC for any alterations needed. They have beautifully sewn on buttons, relined a fur stole (not easy), mended a million pulled hems, reworked dresses and just about anything else you can think of. So...just one person's opinion but I could not live without them!“
