When VA Electrics came out to inspect, they quickly found the problem — a short circuit that had burned right through the metal — and explained everything clearly to me. They also showed me that despite the damage, my safety trip on the panel hadn't activated, which could have been dangerous.

“We hired Joel to do some electrical additions and repairs for us. We had 3 new outlets installed and a couple light switches replaced which were not working. While performing the repairs, Joel pointed out some issues with our existing outlets (the way they were wired) and re-wired them using the side screws.
We are adding a wet bar in the basement and he re-wired the plug-ins for the counter plugs with a GFI circuit and put in a separate 20amp breaker for these.

We took down the ceiling fan & thus a search for an electrician began. John from Warren Electric called back (not texted) and we talked about the install of our own ceiling fan and gave a quote over the phone He advised he was on another project and would call when finished. Well , he called back and we set up a time. John was on time, personable, efficient, and informative. He was patient with two ladies talking that whole time he was working on the install (lol).
