“Nov 2023Some of you may be suspicious of the pipeline 5 star ratings for this company. Couple of things, look at how many reviews many of us have done, these are not paid for Botts or folks that will write a 5 star review if it isn’t true. Second, the reason everyone gives them 5 stars is Kevin and Stuart work VERY hard to ensure a 5 star experience, from quote through to completion of job and after install service.We had a standby 20 KVA natural gas fired generator installed as well as had the panel upgraded to 200 AMPs. I got quotes from 5 installers, all recommended by one or the other of the folks supplying the generators, Generac and Cummins, as well as 2 quotes from other companies. We went with the Cummins generator, even though it costs a bit more, but used Halo that was recommended by the Generac Supplier. Halo was neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive, they were however the most responsive and far and away the most knowledgeable.The reason we chose Halo, was they responded immediately to the enquiry, Kevin showed up on site, and went through the install process and considerations in great detail. I am the kind of person that understands a good deal about installing the generator and transfer panel, I just didn’t want to do the work myself. Thus I wanted to know and understand even the technical issues and processes, so this level of explanation told me they really do know there stuff.The job they did on the install proved in spades that it wasn’t just talk. Halo has done lots of Generac installations, but this was their first Cummins. They are similar but there are a few significant differences on the installation of a Cummins. They had also never worked with Lawn Mover Hospital, who was supplying the generator. They interfaced with the generator supplier, and even went to the shop a couple of times to ensure everything needed was there and was correct. Good thing as the originally ordered transfer switch was not the right one. They also did the interface work with Fortis to ensure everything was in place to upgrade the panel to 200 AMPs from 150.When it came to the actual install, the team was on time, neat and tidy, handled getting hold of all the needed trades, and all the steps, right down to getting the final inspections done. The installation is a thing of beauty. It actually looks nice, as well as being completely functional. Pricing is fair, work and service are outstanding.We are VERY satisfied with the job and would highly recommend this company for any work you are looking to have done.“

“Hired to intall a bathroom fan i had purchased seperately. Had to cut into a bubbled bathroom celing, vent out the room, and install a timer. The result was flawless, even though the celing was very likely to have paint come off in chunks, and my wiring was causing issues with the timers. Perfectly done and cheaper than other quotes. Communication to set up the install was sporadic, but he was able to accomodate my schedule to do the original estimate, so still very high marks.“
