“I attended a jewelry making class today at Tribal Expressions with my son's girlfriend. It was amazing!! Keith led the class, explaining the entire process to us. We then, with his and one of their extremely talented goldsmiths (I'm so sorry that I forgot your name?‍♀️), were able to create our own piece of jewelry which once we set the gem, sanded, polished and cleaned it, we were able to get pierced with afterwards. Everyone at this shop is so friendly and knowledgeable❤️. I highly recommend this experience and this shop ? I will be looking into taking the next level when they offer it!“

“Smilin’ Buddha w/ Lindsay M. now at the helm, is one of the most talented & gifted tattooists that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing w/.

Over 40 years ago, I had Paul Jeffries of the “original” Smilin’ Buddha, ‘fix’ a tattoo that I had done in Edmonton (before it was legal in Calgary) & was extremely disappointed w/. I was so impressed w/ his work, I had him do another one for me.

Now many, many years have passed & tattoo’s do fade, so I was beyond excited when I learned that Smilin’ Buddha was still around. Lindsay had now taken over where Paul left off. To say that I am as impressed w/ her ‘gift’ of tattooing is an understatement. So impressed, I have another appointment scheduled!

Lindsay is beyond friendly, intuitive, creative & extremely talented. The new Smilin’ Buddha location is beyond immaculate & Lindsay goes above & beyond everything she does.

Cleanliness: Super clean, well organized. Lucked out being only one in at time of appointment

Stylist: Alex, was my stylist, very polite, professional and he took the time to explain the process. For my 2 hour appointment a couple of small breaks.

“Scott V. (owner of Eternal Image) is probably one of, if not the best tattooist in Calgary. I don’t know how long he was tattooing before I met him, but I’ve had all my work done by him for over 24 years.
There are three chairs in the studio w/Scott taking the first one by the window. The other two chairs/stools have sort of rotated. There was a guy named Dylan at one point.
Mack helps out at the front desk booking appointments, answering phones and emails. I make it sound easier than it is.
You can’t go wrong having Scott as your tattoo artist. Just make sure you are prepared to wait. His books fill up fast.

Cleanliness: I’ve been coming to Eternal Image since their location on 17th Avenue SW (currently where the BestBuy is) and it has always been kept immaculately clean. As soon as you set foot through the door the smell of pine-sol or similar cleaner hits you. The artists take pride in a clean sanitary work station.“

Jay did a tattoo that my 4 year old drew for me, he did it perfectly. He let her watch him tattoo it for a few seconds then we showed her at the end, he even caught a picture of her face for me!
