My mom found Centered Threads on Instagram and I’m so glad she did! We worked with Stephanie to alter a wedding gown that was originally worn by my great grandma in the 1930s, by my mom in the 1980s, and then again by me in 2023! Together we came up with an alteration to the dress that would maintain most of its original material and design while modernizing and personalizing the neckline and back. Stephanie is professional and takes great care in her work. She did an incredible job with the tailoring and was even able to find the perfect matching fabric to patch a rip. And this is all with material that is close to 90 years old! The dress held up beautifully at our ceremony in Central Park and throughout the following celebrations. It was so special to be able to wear the same wedding gown as my mom and great grandma, and I am so grateful we found Centered Threads to help make it happen!
