We had another company out just two weeks ago for a basement backup, but the issue came back again—so this time we called in the big dogs. Roto-Rooter sent Joel, and I couldn't be more impressed. Even though he’s only been with the company for about 8 months, he was as knowledgeable and professional as any tech I’ve met, including guys who’ve been doing this for years.

He took the time to explain what might be going on, answered all my questions without rushing, and even walked me through long-term solutions like a backwater valve. Friendly, clear, and genuinely helpful—exactly the kind of service you hope for but rarely get.

If this is what he brings to the table at 25 and under a year on the job, Roto-Rooter has a serious asset. Great experience all around. Give that guy a raise.

I also wanted to point out that after finishing he put little booties on the wheels of his machine so it didn't track sewage all the way up my carpeted stairs like the last company did! He did it without me even mentioning it so it seems like standard practice.

“I had no problems at all. The man was on time, walked in with the part in his hand because he had already thought that was why my oven wasn't working, but the grills did. He was nice and polite, but not a chatty guy. Fixed the stove and was out in less than 15 minutes. I'm wondering after reading all these awful reviews that if you have a home warranty company behind you, there won't be problems, but if you call independently there are problems. Just a thought.“
