Throughout my visits, I have consistently been impressed by the business's commitment to health and safety, evident in its pristine facility and trained staff. The range of services I have utilized, such as meeting friends to hang out in the play park, attending various events, grooming, and daycare, cater to the needs of both dogs and their owners. I have even had my dog's birthday party there a few months ago. The tavern area is a highlight, offering a diverse selection of drinks and a welcoming atmosphere that connects seamlessly to the outdoor play area. The owner, Leah, takes immense pride in her business, and it is reflected in the quality of staff she has assembled. I admire her for her sense of community; she has partnered with local nonprofits and charities and raised funds through her events to contribute to them. Leah is an outstanding businesswoman and a remarkable individual. The staff's dedication to safety, care, and customer service is exceptional. I enjoy my interactions with all of them. The daycare program is well-structured, providing a balance of playtime and quiet time, and the daily photos are a lovely touch. Overall, I highly recommend The Hounds and Tap as a top-notch establishment that truly cares for dogs and their owners! My golden retrievers, Harlow and Sullivan, would second this high recommendation, paws down! “I can't say enough about this place. I adopted our 3.5 years 11 lb pom 2 weeks ago from the humane society. This was our first grooming. Patrice is straight forward, she gave me some grooming advice (much appreciated) and explained the the grooming process. She is super sweet. She took the best care of my Elfie. I look forward to our next visit. I have another pup Lucy, she's our 10 year old pom-scam 25 lbs but she's mine so...

“We just got our puppy's nails trimmed here and neither of us cried! He's a big, squirmy 7-month-old and this was his first nail trim since we adopted him. I've had exceptionally bad experiences at other groomers in the past with our previous dog (may she rest in peace) so I was trying to trim the puppy's nail myself. Unfortunately, I couldn't get more than one nail cut before he squirmed away and ran from me. So I made an appointment with Two Tails. I was so anxious today, but Morgan was amazing with our puppy and with me. She put me at ease and remained calm and positive with our puppy. The visit was quick and easy - with zero drama. I'd give 1,000 stars if I could.“

“I recently took my dog, Ginger, for her second lymes disease vaccination. Due to the appointment being strictly with the vet tech, I only had to pay for the vaccine. The vet tech actually gave Ginger the injection in the waiting room because there were no other clients/patients there at the time. Ginger didn't even notice that she received the injection. The vet tech gave her treats for being a good girl. The tech asked for permission to give Ginger treats before she did.“

“I am so happy with my experience at Official Pet Boutique! They did a wonderful job on my girls they came out looking and smelling better than ever. The shop is run by two ladies who are truly passionate about dog grooming and genuinely care about the well-being of dogs.
I loved how gentle and friendly the staff were with my dogs, and I definitely look forward to bringing them back. The shop itself is beautiful inside, and you can see your dog being groomed as soon as you walk in. They also have a great selection of little scented goodies, pet clothes, accessories, and treats.

“For the past 5 years I have groomed my Pomeranian at home and as he gets older he is less tolerant of me grooming him, so I am beyond excited to finally found a groomer I can trust. Mera was so patient with him and at a point he didn’t even need his muzzle! To hear my boy felt safe enough with her was the absolute best. Pricing is definitely reasonable and will depend on size and length of hair. Every dog deserves to feel safe and look great after a groom. Do yourself and your pup a favor and get them a spa day here!!“

“Great staff and fantastic communication all-around. I brought my reactive rescue here. Dr. Patchett was so careful in examining her and provided really good advice and tips to help my dog. I also really like that when I bring my dog in, I call first to make sure waiting room is clear. I dont know why more vets dont do this--it reduces one more stressor from the visit. I clipped my (very skittish) dog's nails for the first time with Dr. Patchett's clear directions and right medications. Really happy I found this practice.“

“We absolutely love The Dog Sanctuary in Sussex, and so does our 1-year-old Bernedoodle, Phoenix! He’s extremely social and high-energy, and this has been the perfect place for him to play, socialize, and burn off some energy.

Sarah and her team are incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about every dog that comes through their doors. We’re still working on some obedience training with Phoenix, and they’ve been nothing but patient, understanding, and supportive in our efforts. We truly appreciate their commitment to creating a safe, fun, and well-managed environment for all dogs.

It means a lot to us that they take the time to ensure every dog has a great experience—even when it comes to managing occasional behavioral challenges. Their dedication and professionalism give us peace of mind every time we drop Phoenix off.

“We were so nervous to take our tiny 4lb puppy to daycare for the first time. He’s been struggling with separation anxiety at home and we thought there was no way he would make it through a full day of daycare. Central Bark made the whole process so easy and enjoyable. I received an update during the day that he was doing great and he made it through the day with an awesome report and some great resources and photos to go along with it. They somehow got him to sleep in a crate during the day (a feat we are struggling with so much at home) and he played with other doggy friends for the first time!
