The range of services I have utilized, such as meeting friends to hang out in the play park, attending various events, grooming, and daycare, cater to the needs of both dogs and their owners. I have even had my dog's birthday party there a few months ago. The tavern area is a highlight, offering a diverse selection of drinks and a welcoming atmosphere that connects seamlessly to the outdoor play area. The owner, Leah, takes immense pride in her business, and it is reflected in the quality of staff she has assembled. I admire her for her sense of community; she has partnered with local nonprofits and charities and raised funds through her events to contribute to them. Leah is an outstanding businesswoman and a remarkable individual. The staff's dedication to safety, care, and customer service is exceptional. I enjoy my interactions with all of them. The daycare program is well-structured, providing a balance of playtime and quiet time, and the daily photos are a lovely touch. Overall, I highly recommend The Hounds and Tap as a top-notch establishment that truly cares for dogs and their owners! My golden retrievers, Harlow and Sullivan, would second this high recommendation, paws down! “I’ve been taking my dogs to Central Bark for almost three years now and it’s honestly been an amazing experience. I don’t use them for boarding, but I bring my dogs in regularly for grooming and they always do a great job.

Peter, the manager, is awesome to work with. He’s super accommodating and always finds a way to get my dogs scheduled. We’ve got them on a routine now which makes everything really easy.

Alyssa does a phenomenal job with both of my dogs, a Labradoodle and an Australian Shepherd. My Aussie can be pretty anxious,, so I was a little worried at first, but they’ve handled him incredibly well. They’re patient, know what they’re doing, and you can tell they actually care about the dogs.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. The whole team is great and always quick to respond if I have any questions.

“We absolutely love The Dog Sanctuary in Sussex, and so does our 1-year-old Bernedoodle, Phoenix! He’s extremely social and high-energy, and this has been the perfect place for him to play, socialize, and burn off some energy.

Sarah and her team are incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about every dog that comes through their doors. We’re still working on some obedience training with Phoenix, and they’ve been nothing but patient, understanding, and supportive in our efforts. We truly appreciate their commitment to creating a safe, fun, and well-managed environment for all dogs.

“I brought in my English Setter for a grooming today. After his appointment he was very excited so we had to leave swiftly to avoid commotion. When I got home I realized the groomer didn’t exactly execute the vision I had for my dog. I called them. They got him right back in and did a phenomenal job. These ladies stand by their word and work. I highly recommend them.“

“Dr. Good and Dr. Kreuger are amazing! The staff is just as wonderful!! We have been taking care of our senior Shih tzu for the last month with the watchful eye of Dr. K. She was dutifully returning every call we had when our girl was getting worse. Today we took our 17 year old baby for the last time and put her down. We have been dog owners for 45 years and this clinic made us feel so comfortable during this terrible time. If you are looking for compassion at fair prices...this place is the best.“

“I’ve taken my longhaired cat here for an annual lion cut 3 or 4 times now and I’ve always had a good experience, but today we ran into a problem with their online booking system- I was to be charged a fee for a no show (I rescheduled online through their third party booking service, so the initial appointment should’ve been cancelled but it wasn’t for some reason) and my new appointment was cancelled. This came at a surprise to me but after discussing what had happened they were still able to squeeze me in and they waived the cancellation fee. As always, they were very thorough but still finished the job within about an hour. I’m very pleased with the customer service I received today and my cat looks so handsome!“
