“Bonnie has been a client of Top Knotch since she was 6 months old. She is six years old now and seems to enjoy her makeovers every visit. Very loving of dogs and considerate Groomers on staff. Bonnie is welcomed at every visit. Bonnie ALWAYS leaves beautiful and well groomed. I now drive 25 miles to get there after I moved away from Lannon. Bonnie will be a client of Top Notch forever!

He’s a handful when it comes to most things, but they have no problem with him. I appreciate them and plan to use them for years to come.“

“I’ve taken my longhaired cat here for an annual lion cut 3 or 4 times now and I’ve always had a good experience, but today we ran into a problem with their online booking system- I was to be charged a fee for a no show (I rescheduled online through their third party booking service, so the initial appointment should’ve been cancelled but it wasn’t for some reason) and my new appointment was cancelled. This came at a surprise to me but after discussing what had happened they were still able to squeeze me in and they waived the cancellation fee. As always, they were very thorough but still finished the job within about an hour. I’m very pleased with the customer service I received today and my cat looks so handsome!“

“I brought in my English Setter for a grooming today. After his appointment he was very excited so we had to leave swiftly to avoid commotion. When I got home I realized the groomer didn’t exactly execute the vision I had for my dog. I called them. They got him right back in and did a phenomenal job. These ladies stand by their word and work. I highly recommend them.“

“I’ve been taking my dogs to Central Bark for almost three years now and it’s honestly been an amazing experience. I don’t use them for boarding, but I bring my dogs in regularly for grooming and they always do a great job.

Peter, the manager, is awesome to work with. He’s super accommodating and always finds a way to get my dogs scheduled. We’ve got them on a routine now which makes everything really easy.

Alyssa does a phenomenal job with both of my dogs, a Labradoodle and an Australian Shepherd. My Aussie can be pretty anxious,, so I was a little worried at first, but they’ve handled him incredibly well. They’re patient, know what they’re doing, and you can tell they actually care about the dogs.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. The whole team is great and always quick to respond if I have any questions.

“We absolutely love The Dog Sanctuary in Sussex, and so does our 1-year-old Bernedoodle, Phoenix! He’s extremely social and high-energy, and this has been the perfect place for him to play, socialize, and burn off some energy.

Sarah and her team are incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about every dog that comes through their doors. We’re still working on some obedience training with Phoenix, and they’ve been nothing but patient, understanding, and supportive in our efforts. We truly appreciate their commitment to creating a safe, fun, and well-managed environment for all dogs.

It means a lot to us that they take the time to ensure every dog has a great experience—even when it comes to managing occasional behavioral challenges. Their dedication and professionalism give us peace of mind every time we drop Phoenix off.

“Great staff and fantastic communication all-around. I brought my reactive rescue here. Dr. Patchett was so careful in examining her and provided really good advice and tips to help my dog. I also really like that when I bring my dog in, I call first to make sure waiting room is clear. I dont know why more vets dont do this--it reduces one more stressor from the visit. I clipped my (very skittish) dog's nails for the first time with Dr. Patchett's clear directions and right medications. Really happy I found this practice.“

“We awoke to our (extremely) food aggressive 3 year old cat not eating. It was a Sunday morning, so I called what Google said was WVRC, but got Westown Vet Clinic instead. It was 8:30am, & Westown was able to make give us a 10:30am appointment, so I took it.

I was impressed with the staff- they took us to a room quickly, & everything was immaculately clean & well lit. The vet was running a bit late due to another cat emergency, & they apologized profusely.

The vet examined & diagnosed our cat. We really appreciated that he was able to fix our feline with an injection & some take home meds. He said that he could do an X ray & bloodwork, but didn’t think it was necessary at this point. We’re grateful that he didn’t oversell us on expensive add-ons. Even my husband thought that the bill was reasonable.

I’ve also had great experiences at WVRC (esp on the weekends), & in the future for urgent (non-emergency) services, I’d make an appointment with Westown Vet Clinic, as they were able to offer me an appointment time, as opposed to just triaging every patient that arrived.“

One of the things I appreciate most is the peace of mind I have knowing my dog is in a safe, clean, and loving environment. My dog gets excited every time we pull into the parking lot, which says everything about how much he enjoys his time there!

“My teacup yorkie bubbles gets her grooming here and loves it,her groomer Nathan is an excellent groomer he's kind and gentle with her and she smells wonderful.Now my Sophia will be getting groomed by Nathan.“

“This place is great if you need a place for your dog to socialize, run around or just get some exercise where, at the same time, you can get a drink (at the bar) and talk to other dog owners, meet up with friends and have the pleasure of having your dog off leash.
To those who are new, you do still have to watch your dog and pick up after them. It costs $10 to get in if you do it individually or $30 for the entire month (you can come any day they are open Wed-Sun).
Hounds and Tap does have other services that are offered but you don’t have to utilize them unless you want to. Examples: Daycare, Boarding, Grooming, Nail care, Baths by staff and self serve, as well as events every month for the people of the dogs to attend and enjoy.
My dog goes 3-4 days a week to the indoor/outdoor park and loves it. She has also gotten her nails done there multiple times and they are really reasonably priced.“

“I recently took my dog, Ginger, for her second lymes disease vaccination. Due to the appointment being strictly with the vet tech, I only had to pay for the vaccine. The vet tech actually gave Ginger the injection in the waiting room because there were no other clients/patients there at the time. Ginger didn't even notice that she received the injection. The vet tech gave her treats for being a good girl. The tech asked for permission to give Ginger treats before she did.“
