Throughout my visits, I have consistently been impressed by the business's commitment to health and safety, evident in its pristine facility and trained staff. The range of services I have utilized, such as meeting friends to hang out in the play park, attending various events, grooming, and daycare, cater to the needs of both dogs and their owners. I have even had my dog's birthday party there a few months ago. The tavern area is a highlight, offering a diverse selection of drinks and a welcoming atmosphere that connects seamlessly to the outdoor play area. The owner, Leah, takes immense pride in her business, and it is reflected in the quality of staff she has assembled. I admire her for her sense of community; she has partnered with local nonprofits and charities and raised funds through her events to contribute to them. Leah is an outstanding businesswoman and a remarkable individual. The staff's dedication to safety, care, and customer service is exceptional. I enjoy my interactions with all of them. The daycare program is well-structured, providing a balance of playtime and quiet time, and the daily photos are a lovely touch. Overall, I highly recommend The Hounds and Tap as a top-notch establishment that truly cares for dogs and their owners! My golden retrievers, Harlow and Sullivan, would second this high recommendation, paws down! “I recently took my dog, Ginger, for her second lymes disease vaccination. Due to the appointment being strictly with the vet tech, I only had to pay for the vaccine. The vet tech actually gave Ginger the injection in the waiting room because there were no other clients/patients there at the time. Ginger didn't even notice that she received the injection. The vet tech gave her treats for being a good girl. The tech asked for permission to give Ginger treats before she did.“

“I take my two doggies here for grooming. They do a fantastic job and are very patient with my dogs. My big girl is 14 years old and needs TLC while being groomed. Kelsie always gives her the extra time and care she needs. My dachshund went today for the very first time and came home happy, soft and fluffy.
They sell the cutest dog cookies and treats here, too. My girls say they are delicious.“

“I can’t recommend All In Paws enough! Our 1.5-year-old shepherd/lab mix, Binx, had become increasingly reactive on walks—staring down other dogs, growling, barking, and sometimes lunging. It got to the point where our walks were more stressful than enjoyable. Brittany’s Reactive Rover class was exactly what we needed. She is organized, articulate, and genuinely cares about the dogs and their owner’s progress. The training tools we learned in class and practiced at home completely transformed our walks! Unlike other training programs we’ve tried (big-box pet stores), Brittany provided thoughtful, personalized guidance that made a real difference. Now, we not only enjoy our walks again, but we also have reliable tools (plus backups!) to redirect Binx’s focus when he does start to get a little excited. If you want to strengthen your relationship with your dog, we highly recommend Brittany and All In Paws! We’ll absolutely be returning for any future training needs.“

“For the past 5 years I have groomed my Pomeranian at home and as he gets older he is less tolerant of me grooming him, so I am beyond excited to finally found a groomer I can trust. Mera was so patient with him and at a point he didn’t even need his muzzle! To hear my boy felt safe enough with her was the absolute best. Pricing is definitely reasonable and will depend on size and length of hair. Every dog deserves to feel safe and look great after a groom. Do yourself and your pup a favor and get them a spa day here!!“

“Amazing experience with Miah. She was kind, patient and informative. I got everything I needed from the private classes and genuinely saw a difference and improvement each week. They conduct their business very professionally. All the hard work and cost paid off. I will say, the cost was up there but it feels worth it to me. “We absolutely love The Dog Sanctuary in Sussex, and so does our 1-year-old Bernedoodle, Phoenix! He’s extremely social and high-energy, and this has been the perfect place for him to play, socialize, and burn off some energy.

Sarah and her team are incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about every dog that comes through their doors. We’re still working on some obedience training with Phoenix, and they’ve been nothing but patient, understanding, and supportive in our efforts. We truly appreciate their commitment to creating a safe, fun, and well-managed environment for all dogs.

“We have 2 Labs, 8 years old, and 5 months old. We started going to Chas for training because our older had some behavior problems (pulling on walks, barking at people walking by the house, mostly). After getting our new puppy, we decided it was time to get serious about training.....starting off with the new puppy on the right foot, and getting the older to behave better. Well, it's been quite impressive what our dogs are like now compared to when we started, and we still have more lessons to go!Peaceful pull-free walks, following commands SO much better, counter surfing drastically reduced and almost gone! etc. Chas is truly an expert at training dogs, and when you put the work in, meaning you do EXACTLY WHAT HE SAYS, you get results. Going to Dog's Best Friend has been the best decision we ever made with our dogs. Hands down, the BEST! Everything and every other method we've tried has been a waste of time. We 10000% recommend Chas if you are committed to seeing amazing behavior changes from your dog. It's hard work that takes patience and some time, but the results keep us motivated to keep going. Chas is seriously the best and worth your time and money.“
