“I wish we had found Kate so much sooner. We spend a LOT of money at one of those "big box" training companies that raves about their training but guarantees nothing. Now we understand why. In contrast, Kate very quickly became nicknamed "Momma Kate" after we started our board and train program with our two girls. Both of our dogs LOVE Kate and it shows that Kate loves them like her own. She took the time to get to know our girls and earn their trust and respect. She took into consideration their breed traits, personalities (very different from each other) and their training needs. Both girls were eager to work for her. Kate interacts and played with our girls making training fun; we arrived at the facility many times to find Momma Kate in the middle of a fierce tug session with one of our girls. The goal of the initial trainer we used was to "break" our dog and turn her into a "robot". Dogs are not meant to act like robots, and Kate enjoys the different, unique personalities of the dogs she works with.We also GREATLY appreciate that Kate limits the number of dogs she takes at a time. Knowing that she was taking them home with her every night was a relief in so many ways. Not only did we know she would be there if any needs arose, but training translated to different settings, one being a home, which is where out training would take place.We are an active family, and we are greatly enjoying the well mannered behavior we are now getting from our girls as it will allow us to take them with us to many more places. We also know that if any need arises, Kate is ALWAYS there to stand by her work and help us out. We couldn't recommend Kate and KC-K9 Academy Dog Training any more!“
“Dr. Ben helped me send my 17 year old cat to the spirit world. They were very accommodating and kind to the situation at hand. I appreciate the help ending her suffering.One thing I would note for improvement is that the assistants that day at the desk were a bit loud in discussing about other things (work related complaints that could have been discussed in private ir withheld), when I feel and have been trained to be more respectful to the situation. The actual Vet Tech and Doctor were very gentle and respectful, though.“

Many other dog trainers are great at being positive with dogs but not so great at being positive with people, understandably getting frustrated with people’s rate of learning to communicate with their dogs. Best Paw trainers excel at positive reinforcement of both dogs and their people. Feedback is positive and constructive. Much of the learning takes place by playing games with the dogs. Best Paw has increased my confidence in working with my dogs and enhanced my relationships with them. There are other trainers closer to where I live, but it’s worth the extra time to drive to Best Paw. I am so glad to have found this treasure.“

“Chad is wonderful. He treats each dog as an individual and then finds the appropriate means to train. Not like other classes which everyone is the same and you walk in circles. He is training my dog Bella to gain more confidence by being with other dogs and also with some agility training. We opted for private with some group training. She does have more confidence but we still have more to do. Thanks Chas!“

“Great place to take our dog on an inclement weather day or for lunch, or if parks aren't you or your dog's thing. If your dog plays hard, as mine does, H&T probably won't be ideal (there are some areas of pavement in the outdoor area) but it's still a good time. Food from the trucks so far has been decent and the owners and staff are experienced and competent. I'll be back!“
“I was nervous starting training but knew my dog needed a little more obedience training and after the first training session I felt relieved knowing I found the perfect place to help me and Benson out with his training. Highly recommend! Matt was very great to work with and made training easy and fun. I have never had to train a dog before let alone go somewhere to get my dog trained but I am glad I did! I obtained helpful resources and exercises for my dog and I!“
