3243 California Ave SW, Seattle“Our family used Emmick after a recent loss of a loved one and we could not have made a better choice. Unlike the bigger corporate funeral homes that try to up sell on everything, there were no such antics from Emmick. Desiree and Michael were caring, compassionate and supportive. Don't look to any other funeral home than Emmick. They are a small family home company and they need to be supported. Thank you Desiree and Michael for the incredible service and your compassion and responsiveness. We appreciate it very much.“

11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle“As difficult as this occasion was, our experience with Washelli was exceptional. Kat was the director who worked closely with us. She was knowledgeable and sensitive to what we were going through with losing our mother. She had a gentle disposition and although she was professional, she wasn't all business. She took an unrushed approach which allowed us to digest each necessary decision we had to make at a comfortable pace.“

700 W Raye St, Seattle“My family and I worked with Melanie to purchase a headstone for my grandparents. Melanie evidently has experience working with the Asian population, understanding that pictures speak a thousand words and displaying the most popular styles for my traditional Chinese family. My grandmother and uncle used a lot of time deliberating between every little detail of the headstone; it honestly took quite some time. Melanie was incredibly patient and did not rush the process. She gave everyone adequate time to make their final decision and was transparent about what was / wasn't included. Working with Melanie was very pleasant. A minor complaint was that I had to leave multiple messages in order to reach Melanie so I'm not sure if my messages were ever relayed. In the end, I had to reach out a fifth time before I finally spoke with Melanie. I'm sure they are always incredibly busy and do not fault them for this at all - it's just a mere FYI for anyone trying to contact them. Overall, I really enjoyed the process with Mount Pleasant.“

“Our family's interaction with Forest Lawn in West Seattle started some time ago. Our mother passed peacefully in May 2022; then time to make arrangements. Dad, also 92, tasked himself, with his four kids in support, in making those arrangements. Both Mom & Dad were more recent transplants to Washington - to be near their kids - and their kids - and their kids.
Firmly rooted in Catholic tradition and his own family history, but with empathetic responses from Forest Lawn and evolving doctrine, Dad selected cremation, and a spot with a great view at an outdoor rose garden and columbarium. Then Dad's time came in June 2024, and responsibility fell to us - their children. With Forest Lawn's continued dignified & empathetic counsel, we gathered the extended family, (a bit later in August 2025) shared stories and photos and placed letters to Dad & Mom. Most of all - enjoyed what our parents' had initiated: US.
Forest Lawn (Vy & Greg particularly) helped us achieve that peace in transition. Thank you.“
