Just recently started attending The Mat, and I love it! I am by no means a workout person, very beginner and I feel so invited by Barb and the other customers. I don’t get nervous if I need to take a break and it’s so great. I’ve bought my month membership already as I’m trying to be more active.If you’re up for new things, you should give the hot power class a try!
Between physical injuries and poor mental health from being a health care provider during the pandemic, my pain when running was worsening. This Ironman triathlete was stopping and turning around to walk home not even 2 miles into a run. A fellow runner had gushed about yoga to me once, I was getting worse despite trying everything else, so I showed up at the Mat on a January 2nd.There were lot of poses I couldn't do. For a long time I felt sore afterward. It was the good kind that felt like improvement though, not the more recent painful, decaying, grim-reaper-is-coming-for-my-muscles kind of sore that cut runs short. Amazing!! would definitely recommend going to the mat, the instructors are amazing and so are the people in the classes. very welcoming atmosphere, i will definitely be going here again.
