“Our son has been in pain, head to toe, since July. He hasn't been able to sleep more than two hours a night because he can't get comfortable. Walking, standing, sitting, running all hurt, and he couldn't raise his hand high enough in class to participate in discussions. He has had x-rays, bloodwork, MRIs, and many doctors appointments with no answers, prescriptions tried to help with pain, nothing helped. After our sixth referral, and waiting for an appointment with a Rheumatologist, he was referred to Alex at You Turn Physical Therapy for fascial counterstrain therapy. After his first visit with Alex, our son said he felt different. When asked how, he said it didn't hurt to lie on his back as much, it didn't hurt to sit up from lying down like it did, it didn't hurt as much to walk around the room, or even sit in the car. The first night, he slept a couple of more hours than his usual two he had been. The next morning, he walked out of his room standing a bit taller, a little more relaxed. The second night, he slept ten hours. The difference from just one visit was amazing, as we haven't been able to help our son feel any relief in months.
Our son has now had a second visit with Alex, and more points were addressed to help relieve pain and find comfort in everyday actions.
