I know very little about the world of pets. This is why I go to a veterinarian. In the past, when I go to the vet, I get asked a million questions that I don’t know. I also get talked down to and often feel like I am being buckle and dined to death with services I don’t understand. When I ask questions about those services that don’t seem necessary, I am treated a certain way. It feels like I should be apologizing somehow for showing up. Clean facility and friendly staff. Minimal waiting for my first appointment for our new puppy. I had used Salem Veterinary Hospital's services about 9 years ago with a different dog (English Springer Spaniel) we had adopted from a military family that couldn't take their 3yo dog with them. I initially stayed with previous dog owner's veterinary clinic, since that vet was already familiar the dog was proan to ear infections and other medical history. After a holiday weekend with a sick dog and getting the run around from Vets. I took him to Salem ( his regular vet). I didn't make an appointment we just went. They were very understanding and squeezed us in. The dog was in serious dehydration from vomiting and diarrhea. The Dr. did what she could to help. Then she went beyond and got us space at a hospital. I highly recommend Salem to anyone who has a pet. The dog is doing well.
