Andrea with Doggy Decorum is amazing. Having her come to our home and work with the entire family on our pet’s specific issues was the best decision. I had previously tried group lessons that used a negative correction method and that was not effective for our pet. Andrea’s positive reinforcement methods are tailored to our dog, our environment, and our situation. If a method doesn’t work, she pivots and tries another. Every dog is different and she’s able to customize a program that fits your dog and your family. Not only have we seen incredible improvement in our dog’s behavior in just 3 weeks; but it has also improved our relationship and level of frustration with our pet. Before Andrea, Harper had free reign of our fenced back yard; but she barked constantly, she dug holes, wouldn’t come when called, ran away from us (thinking we were trying to bring her inside before she was ready) and taking her on a walk was a nightmare. Andrea’s methods have improved all those areas. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m thankful to find Andrea and be given the tools to help instill a positive change in Harper’s negative behaviors.

Andrea had an immediate connection with our 100 pound rottweiler! Our pup had previously begun group obedience training with another force-free trainer, but covid restrictions prevented us from completing the course. As a novice dog handler, I hadn't made much progress on my own. We engaged Andrea to give us some private instruction in our home, and she had this girl eating out of the palm of her hand! By the end of the first session, I was already able to motivate her into a heel position and could easily turn about and walk around with her attention squarely and excitedly focused on me. I am so excited to continue working with Andrea as we fine-tune our baby's big girl manners!
