I was out of town when the job was completed and was told a post job inspection would take place to make sure I was satisfied with the installation. That never happened. I called multiple times because the fire pit was not installed the way I specifically requested it to be installed. The top layer of stone was just placed on top of the fire pit with no adhesive securing it.UpdateThe company contacted me and in 48 hours the issues were fixed. “From the owner, Tommy ******, through all of the staff who worked on our kitchen remodeling, we could not have asked for a better group of gentlemen.\nTommy ****** acted as the Contract Manager, and coordinated not only his staff, but the companies involved/needed to make our kitchen remodeling a success (plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, tile work, electrical, brickmason, guttering), as well as recommending a landscaper. This process took a total of 8 weeks due to some unexpected plumbing (aging pipe replacements) and cabinet part delivery delays. “I dreaded having more repairs done to my house because of how much bad luck I've had with contractors in the past doing shoddy or incomplete work, not showing up, needing to be micromanaged, etc. Our house was a fixer-upper from the start that we've put a lot of work into over the years, and pretty much every problem you could ever have with a contractor we've had in this house. Mike and his guys were literally our first positive experience and will be the only handymen we'll ever be calling again when the need arises. They did a mix of work including siding, roof trim, and repairing a leaky back door and the rotted wood around it's frame. Had only one small problem with their repairs, which they owned up to and came back out to fix. No dodging calls once they already had our money or making bs excuses for why they needed to be paid more to amend a mistake, which was another too-common experience in the past. Communication stands out the most. They tell you when they'll be there, give you a heads up if things change, and show up accordingly. Seems like a simple concept, but again, in my experience something most contractors have great difficulty pulling off.“

We contacted three contractors to tackle this project and emphasized keeping the same footprint in the kitchen area. The work consisted of a complete remodel of the kitchen with stacked cabinets, downstairs half bath, dry bar area, lighting, and porcelain flooring throughout the downstairs living area. After speaking with each contractor, we selected MARJOS. We selected MARJOS because they knew exactly what we wanted and delivered beyond our expectations. We highly recommend MARJOS because they are a one stop shop!MARJOS quote is upfront with no hidden fees or surprises. The quoted price included everything we wanted accomplished. During the design process, the statement of work was explained in detail. MARJOS provided us with a document that laid out step by step directions to track work accomplishments and provided us with a design layout interpretation the general appearance of the completed design.The owners of MARJOS, Nan and Tom opened our eyes, as they transformed our outdated kitchen into a custom kitchen. They were extremely helpful during the design process and throughout the work progression. We decided on two-tone cabinets, Sea Salt color upper stacked cabinets with under cabinet lights under all cabinets, and counter height Gray Owl color for kitchen lower cabinets, island, half bath vanity, and dry bar area. My wife loves the lower cabinets because all the lower cabinets (except half bath vanity and cabinet under sink), are pull out drawers, which makes it easy to organize.We selected Matte Black for cabinet pull knobs, kitchen and half bath faucets, light fixtures (2), and chandelier. The countertops are Calacatta Classique Quartz with gray pencil edge. The backsplash (under all cabinets) is Meringue II Matte Ceramic tile with Laticrete bright white epoxy grout. My wife also loves the under-cabinet lighting and recessed lighting. As you get older, the extra lighting is a plus.Once we signed the contract, MARJOS ordered the new cabinets as work began to remove the old cabinets, countertops and flooring. MARJOS communicated effectively during the project. Design layouts was placed on the wall, so we were able to know what was being accomplished and what to expect of the finish product. The design layout was also a tool for the workers to follow to ensure that they do not miss any steps.We selected Life Proof Shadow Wood porcelain tile from The Home Depot. MARJOS ordered the tile and had it delivered directly to our home. The contractors did an excellent job of leveling the floors prior to laying the porcelain tile. Life Proof Shadow Wood porcelain tile laid in the downstairs living areas to include the kitchen, laundry room, pantry, half bath, dining room, living room and family room. As you can tell, the tile job was a big job. My wife and I love porcelain flooring because it is exceptionally minimal maintenance.MARJOS workers did an excellent job throughout. The workers are deeply knowledgeable and respectful with outstanding work ethics. You can expect to see the same workers daily, not sub-contractors, MARJOS do not use sub-contractors. In addition, the workers removed all trash from our property daily and cleaned up behind themselves. We highly recommend MARJOS for your next remodeling project. They are honest, kind, and do excellent work. Every day, we are so very thankful to walk on our new porcelain floors, use our remolded kitchen, half bath, desk, and dry bar area.
