165 Fort Evans Rd NE, Leesburg“OUTSTANDING!! The CVCA Cardiologist team in Leesburg, VA, rearranged their schedule and donated their time to assist the Dental Surgery team with the full mouth teeth extraction for our 15-year-old, feline, Mr. Maizy, who was just diagnosed with full heart block and stomatitis. Mr. Maizy also has a very high sensitivity to anesthesia. Although we only had an appointment that day for a cardiology exam, due to the urgency of Mr. Maizy’s condition, CVCA coordinated separate organizations to perform emergency surgery. This included Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery, VCA Animal Emergency Critical Care, and CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets, which are all conveniently in the same location to perform the procedure. What a wonderful place this is to have such comprehensive care teams from different companies collaborating with such immediacy as they did for our Mr. Maizy. During his surgery, there was a team of seven, including four doctors, working on our Mr. Maizy. We were completely blown away by all of this!! They reaffirmed our belief that there are veterinary professionals who dedicate their selfless, loving care to the needs of our cherished four-legged, family members. We highly recommend CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets, Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery, and VCA Animal Emergency Critical Care in Leesburg, VA!! With our deepest gratitude and appreciation, Ingrid, John & Mr. Maizy“

Had to be put her down so she wasn’t in pain anymore. Dr. Andrew and the whole staff were very supporting through the grieving process and let us stay here with her for a while. Thank you“

The doctors take as much time as needed so you understand all your options for treating your pet. They do not push any treatment but make sure you understand the options available. I've been going to Great Falls now over 10 years now and they have helped me get through some very rough times with my pets. I travel from Falls Church to Great Falls because I trust them that much with the care of my pets.“

They took great care of him and Dr Cleland emailed me today to check in on him. The “little monster” means a lot to me so I appreciate the concern and follow-up. I definitely recommend them!“

They went above and beyond to make sure that their procedures went as smoothly as possible. The front desk even texted me an update on how my boys were doing which I thought was so nice, since I was worried about them. And Elise the vet tech was so informative and helpful. Highly recommend this place“

They gave me meds to calm him and he was way more chill than I’ve ever seen him, so it wasn’t the worst vet experience he’s ever had. They even got him into a purrito, which I’ve never been able to do. Attaching a pic of my handsome guy with Charlotte as a cute purruito! They are genuinely a great team and I wouldn’t consider taking my cats anywhere else in town.“

Most recently with Katherine Newland, DVM, i brought my dog in with a limp - something ive seen other vets for in the past, and she gave the most thorough exam and talked us through our options also with a lot of detail. I never felt rushed and never felt pressured into expensive procedures. Would highly recommend this office and especially dr Newland!“

Following an exam of the entire dog and discussion with me, Hunter Mill’s doctor gave my shepherd an injection of Librela that seems to have given my dog new life and energy. Her arthritis issues are greatly reduced. We highly recommend this veterinary clinic and Librela. My 12 1/2 year old dog can now play and enjoy life better than last week prior to the injection. I’m told that the positive effects should last for about 30 days. We will be back next month for another injection.“

Dulles South Veterinary Center, 25067 Elk Lick Rd Suite 101, South Riding“I wanted to update my review as we recently lost a pet with DSVC. Losing an animal is never easy, but in my opinion the level of care given during that time from a vet office says a lot about the practice. For background, our cat Toby was a rescue that we had the absolute joy and honor of loving for 5 years. When we adopted Toby, he came with no vet records and we had no idea of any health issues (haha, we were in for a rollercoaster ride!). During our time with Toby, he saw DSVC, an ophthalmologist, a neurologist, and lastly an internal medicine vet for small cell lymphoma. All of this is to say that DSVC as a team caught Toby's numerous health conditions over the years and treated what they could, and referred him out for what they could not treat. They called specialists on my behalf to get answers to questions they didn't have the answers for, and to get him in with specialists sooner if needed. Over the years, Toby had almost every procedure possible with DSVC and even stayed with DSVC when they offered hospital and boarding services pre-COVID. Our 5 wonderful years with Toby were only possible because DSVC quite literally saved his life twice and gave him the care he needed and deserved during his lifetime with us. At DSVC, we saw many wonderful techs and doctors over the years (some of which are no longer with the practice) including Dr. Hood, Dr. Luce, Dr. Plummer, Dr. Pattie, Dr. Fernandes, and most recently, Dr. Woodworth and Dr. Blevins. We received, in my opinion, the best veterinary care we could have, with true love and care from DSVC for Toby. Toby unfortunately lost his cancer battle unexpectedly right before Christmas. He was fit in for an appointment with Dr. Blevins and we got the call that she was keeping him warm but he was declining and we needed to come say our goodbyes. It was absolutely heart wrenching, but Dr. Blevins (and our tech, KatieRose - SHE IS A ROCK STAR! Laura is also a rock-star tech that often works with us) were beyond understanding, professional, and friendly (I know there is a better word, but I am tearing up as I write this and cannot think of something other than friendly) through our sobbing and goodbyes. DSVC gave us as much time as we needed with Toby, and Dr. Blevins let us hold him while he went to sleep. We were encouraged to bring our other cat and dog (who also have all of their care through DSVC) and I felt that Toby was able to say goodbye with such dignity and love, I just don't have the words to describe it. DSVC was able to coordinate Toby's cremation (we chose private / single cremation with return of his ashes in an urn) with Agape Pet Services, and included in the cost were mementos. A lot of the reviews that I've read talk about availability and cost. We have been seeing DSVC for over 10 years. Although their availability has fluctuated over the years, they will always get your pet in if it is a true emergency, or they will tell you which Vet ER is best to go to. I understand frustration with limited availability, but like any other business right now, staffing shortages are happening. As far as cost goes, I haven't shopped around for pricing because of the level of love and care they provide my animals. Yes, prices have also fluctuated over the years, but that is the same anywhere. I would rather pay what I do to DSVC to have consistent care and know that my pets are cared for as if they were their own. I know that not everyone has had the experiences I have with DSVC, but I wouldn't think of going elsewhere. Finally, Laurel does grooming for our pets at DSVC. SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST and we won't go anywhere else!“

165 Fort Evans Rd NE, Leesburg“We are very grateful to Dr. Lester and her professional, skilled team for the exceptional care they gave our dog, Oliver, from late February until mid-October. Because of an emergency clinic visit in late February, Dr. O’Donnell at the AECC, Leesburg, wanted Dr. Lester to do an ultrasound on Oliver’s spleen as there was something suspicious. Dr. Lester identified a nodule that she then advised we monitor over the coming months. At first there were no changes to the nodule size except in April there were now two. However, in August one nodule had doubled in size. Dr. Lester was concerned and recommended Oliver to VSC, Leesburg for surgery. His biopsy determined sarcoma and his cancer is being treated. We look back on this experience and realize if it hadn’t have been for Dr. O’Donnell in AECC and then Dr. Lester’s quick response in August, we might not have Oliver with us today if these masses had ruptured. Again, a special thanks to the VCA IMed team.“

I also was able to experience their honesty when having to have teeth pulled. My dog has stayed with them in their kennel and it was a great experience. My only complaint is they don’t do weekends anymore.“

“Such a great vet experience! My dog is extremely anxious, and the staff were all so gentle and patient with her. Dr Jones himself was down on the floor with her while he did the examination, and let her hide under a chair while he checked her eyes and ears. She was so much more comfortable by the time the appointment was finished, and it was all thanks to the thoughtful and caring treatment of the staff. Great place!“
