Based on the reviews, Central Virginia VA Health Care System provides good care and friendly staff, though parking is difficult and requires arriving very early. Patients can get the same treatment at the ER or the clinic next to it. The facility has an excellent Polytrauma Unit with an amazing staff. The emergency room is professional and very attentive. The cardiac team provides the best care, with doctors and nurses who are thorough, kind, and considerate. One patient received excellent care for a heart attack, including a 3-way bypass and a titanium plate to help him heal faster. Another patient with very high blood pressure was treated by an excellent doctor who called to check on him. The facility is a good place to go to be seen and get treated for anything.
Recently had two separate surgeries with an overnight stay! Wife stayed at the Fisher House. I’ve had two other procedures done there in 2026… all this to say that every single person has been professional, caring, always helpful with any information I’ve needed. I’m totally blessed by the teams in each department.
It's a good place to go to be seen to get treated for anything you can use the ER or you can go to the clinic next to the ER but ether one that you go to you will get the same treatment at both places!
My husband recently spent a couple of weeks in the Polytrama Unit. I cannot begin to express how appreciative we are for the excellent care he received. The entire staff was absolutely Amazing!!
