My wife and I have done numerous remodels and renovations over the past few decades and none of those projects was as headache free as the construction of our pool and an amazing pavilion (the pavilion perfectly matches our home thanks to Kevin). Shawn was our main point of contact throughout the process and his attention to detail is outstanding. We saw him at our house daily. He ALWAYS did everything he could to please us, no matter what we requested. He is now considered part of our family. We got constant updates from the front office via Jessie who always made sure we were up to date. The most incredible thing is that Steve Waldron, the President of the company, is never more than a phone call away. He sets a high standard for responsiveness and customer service, and it runs through every Pristine employee we met. I recommend Pristine Acres without a single reservation. They are simply the best. If I could give six stars, I would not hesitate to do so. They are that good. In sum, they are the masters of creating outdoor beauty.“

“The team at Custom Stonescaping did a wonderful job on our two patios and a fence. Alex and the rest of the crew replaced the bricks with flagstone and took down the old fence and put up a new one. They were very respectful of the HOA rules about starting at 8:30 and everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. We couldn’t be happier with the results - the patios drain better, look better, and keep away the weeds! Ron designed everything and kept us informed in person and online with a project update site, complete with before and after pictures. A great company to work with.“

“I contracted with Gardenwise to do a complete backyard renovation on Capitol Hill in DC. The finished project was actually featured in the Washington Post for Best of DC getaways. I had a customized fireplace designed and constructed, brick carport installed, a complete outdoor kitchen area to include a grill and refrigerator, picture perfect pergola, and a front steps customized stone installation. “Jose and his team did an amazing job taking down a very large tree that was close to our house and making us nervous with the way it was leaning. He came out quickly for an assessment after I reached out, and his team came out within a week for the job. We were initially a bit skeptical because he said that his team wouldn't need a crane for the job (which was about 150-200ft tall), but he was right — they took down the whole tree just by climbing up the tree with ropes and taking it down in pieces, and there was no damage done to our house. It was incredible to watch. They also did an amazing job with the cleanup. The price was also much less than we were expecting, which we were very happy about. We will call them again if we ever need any more tree work done!“

“I highly recommend Frank and Green Horizons for any landscaping needs! Earlier this year, we hired him to plant arborvitae and other plants, grade our yard, and bury the downspouts. Frank's expertise was clear from the beginning of the project - he carefully planned and executed every detail of the project. Frank also was flexible and had great communication. He was always available to discuss the project and answer our questions. And most importantly, his work effectively resolved the flooding issues we were facing in our house. “These guys are amazing with landscaping. I had been asking different companies for quotes on the work. Some popular ones couldn't even reply to my questions - they were like if you're just asking for quotes, don't even bother. Just wow. All About Landscaping, however, stopped by in person to view the scope of work and gave me a quote slightly lower than many other companies. Plus, I like the detailed plans explaining what he will do. Specific plans always win. I had overgrown bushes, plants, and weeds all around the house. I decided it was time for clearing it all up and mulch it so I picked All About Landscaping.

The team worked super fast. I thought it was going to take at least a day but they were in and out in less than 2 hours. The house looked so clean I couldn't even recognize it, haha. I thought about doing it myself but it'd have taken me several weeks on and off. Just hire these guys! By the way, they also do poison ivy clean up! I had poison ivy in the backyard and I called these guys again for the clean up. I didn't even bother asking for quotes this time.

One thing to note is that plastic underneath mulch isn't a good idea long term. But the issue is that there's no way to prevent the weeds from growing unless you use strong chemicals which end up hurting bees. The organic, natural option is going to require a seasonal maintenance. I don't really like either options long term. One hurts my wallet. One hurts the bees. If I don't pick one, the house looks ugly. Yikes!“

“I brought my 10 year old John Deere tractor in for a couple of repairs that I couldn't do at home. My drive belt was loose and needed to be replaced, and my throttle cable broken. Also I needed new inner tubes and all four tires. Not only did they do the work quickly, but also power washed the tractor and sharpened the blades at no additional cost. This is the only place I'll ever take my equipment. My tractor looks and runs like new, my only wish is that I had brought it in sooner. Highly recommend!“
