The campus is a beautiful gem at night, though there is a lot of walking that can make a person tired. Some staff members are nice, sweet, and caring. However, there is also a lot of drama, and the place can make a person feel dreadful if they do not make friends and stay in their dorm. It is recommended for those who can keep to themselves and make a small circle of trusted ones. A reviewer highly recommends the center and wishes they could go back. Another reviewer notes that for adults above 25 years old, it is not recommended, as they got stuck with young roommates who lacked basic independent living skills. The reviewer suggests changing the minimum age to 22 and up. Overall, the center offers programs like vocational training, life skills, and health occupations, with one student finishing their program in September 2021 after interruptions due to Covid.
Ive heard alot of bad reviews of this place. And ive been here at least 4 different times each being a different program. Its okay Imo if you want to embrace keep to yourself and make a nice small circle with trusted ones. But other than that alot of drama and the place makes you feel dreadful if you don't make friends and stay in your dorm.
If you are an adult that wants to start out here above 25 years old, I don't recommend it. I got stuck with two very young roommates who acted like they were four years old and never took out the trash, never cleaned. It's not fair to the older developed adults who abide by the rules, when they let younger ones in who barely know when to brush their own teeth in the morning or get to class on time, sit around and still get a free ride. I'm definitely suggesting to administration to change the age to 22 and up. Anybody younger than that can't comprehend simple independent living common sense
I was there in 2016 for my vocational training for a week I came back in January 27 of 2017 for life skills and then I start with life skills March 30 of 2017 and then I took a break and came back in May of 2017 for my learners permit. On May 24, 2017, I started my health occupation program on November 3, 2017 I was sent home because I was told I wasn’t ready to become a CNA. I returned January 27 2020, to finish my program, but everyone got sent home I’ll around March 2020 due to Covid and February 2021.
