“I want to say two things about this amazing place. I arrived at 8am with my dog in my arms sobbing. They took me in. They are so kind here. I left my other vet who misdiagnosed my poor dog. She had to be put down that evening due to our old vet telling us she was constipated. Had I not gone to this vet, she would have suffered. This is the most amazing vet and I wish I could give them more stars.“

“Dr. Rice, and her entire crew are simply amazing. I am the proud owner of Niblet, an African crested porcupine. Unfortunately Niblet had an eye infection that needed immediate attention. Numerous calls to exotic vets in my home state of NC, and no success getting her seen in a resonable amout of time. The exotic vet in Raleigh did not want to see her at all. They referred me to NC State University . Finally State gave me an appointment a week out, then the next day called and postponed the appointment for another week, ( not acceptable at all). I immediately Googled exotic vets within 100 miles. 4 popped up. Oasis was the first one I contacted. I explained Niblets condition, within a moment they scheduled an appointment with Dr Rice. On the day of the appointment, Niblet and I began the almost 2 hour drive to Oasis. When we arrived we were kindly greeted by the 2 front desk ladies. I explained that I needed help bringing Niblet inside. Within a moment there were 3 amazing staff members helping with Niblet. After settling into room number 2, Dr Rice and her assistant entered with big smiles and a wonderful concern for the well-being of my beloved Niblet. The exam was extensive and preformed with the utmost professionalism. Medication was prescribed and details were explained properly. After a few pictures and treats, Niblet was ready for the ride home. By far this was the best vet experience I could ever imagine. Dr Rice and her crew are extremely knowledgeable and caring, #best vet ever. Dr Rice and her crew have earned my respect and my future patronage for as long as possible. I knew the prognosis for my sweet cat Fanny was not good, but the doctor knew what to say to ease me into the mutual agreement to palliative care. “I adopted my dog 3 years ago right before the pandemic and I was living in Richmond at the time. Church Hill Animal Hospital was the best veterinary hospital with the MOST CARING doctors and staff and we hated to leave them when we moved to another state. Long story short-ish — my dog was scheduled for dental surgery here in my new state. When we arrived at the new veterinary hospital they asked for his rabies vaccination certificate. Oops- I had totally forgotten it at home 30 minutes away and his dental procedure was in 20 minutes. I called Church Hill Animal Hospital with no time to spare. The friendly person who answered the phone pulled up his records and told me they’d email it right away. Perfect! We received the certificate within 30 seconds! Everything went smoothly. Thank you Church Hill Animal Hospital for your fabulous, friendly, caring, attentive staff. Alex, the feisty Chihuahua mix, thanks and misses you all!“
